Could you please explain this a little more clearly -- I still don't get it. Maybe this is what they mean: http://www.libertybelles.org/images2/shame/ungun.JPG

Or you could just read the reply email addresses in the post Sherlock, instead of rushing to provide another data point on why Military Intelligence is an oxymoron.

A lot of B.S. posted in response to this thread. The article makes some great points, there is a very liberal attitude towards crime & punishment in the UK, probably too liberal for repeat offenders. But on the other hand in America there are a whole lot of people willing to throw people in a hell hole for life for a single mistake and walk around thinking it could never happen to them. I consider that attitude arrogant and foolish, particularly when the criminal justice system is so heavily politicized.

A very difficult decision, hopefully you can both agree on it. One way of looking at it is if you try again where going to term would have otherwise prevented it you'll always have your new child who'd never have otherwise existed to assuage any doubts and guilt that might subsequently arise.

So the politicians will be banning golf clubs next. From the place where golf was invented. That would be very nice. Maybe they'll just ban saws. I'm pretty confident that posession of a sawn-off golf club is illegal, and equally sure you can't purchase them over the counter.

Well I might not have gotten all 3 stooges and although I followed the supreme court nomination at the time the guy's name escapes me now (Does it begin with an A?). I have to say that failing "Which month did 9/11 happen in?" is 'special'. Most other countries don't go around asking their resident idiots inane questions to demonstrate to the world how embarassing the locals can be. In Scotland we keep the neds and wasters hidden away on housing estates and export "ambassadors" like Sean Connery to keep the tourists interested. Pollsters get stabbed & robbed if they go near the place and telephone service is mostly cut off due to failure to pay bills, so it's a nice self-regulating system.

So that makes it okay to prevent people from purchasing historical relics or replicas for collecting purposes, by citizens who aren't criminals? The tyranny of the majority over the minority? Bollocks. http://www.glasgowsurvival.co.uk/ The section on weapons is particularly informative, my favorite is the sawn off golf club.

My money is on closing pins on their riser covers.

There's a difference between honest dissemination and creation. One utterly impeaches the news organization. This is not just one guy, you're ignoring a lot of links here to spin this.

Bill I saw the feed live like most other people, all of those shots are from that same feed, so peopel knew exactly what was going on, you're just revising history. You WANT to be fooled, or are happy for others to be fooled as long as it sways them to your view. You're excusing eggergious misconduct and broken systems by equating it with events that didn't even happen. The shots were the shots but we were NOT told how the whole event had been orchestrated to look the way it did. That's an unsupported claim by the left but even if it were supported there still a difference between disseminating an apparently spontaneous event and participating in the orchestration which is happening NOW in Pallywood and even by editors.

Your own attachments refute your claim and support what I said. That doesn't even address your other claims but since this is about news gathering and not what the US does or doesn't orchestrate it's besides the point.
-
This is not about nations, it's about the people employed as newsgatherers. When you start drawing that distinction you'll understand what is wrong with this. Even stone cold facts from the US are viewed with extreme skepticism and spun negatively by Reuters et. al. while flagrant propaganda from Pallywood etc. is swallowed up and stuck on the front page and we even get excuses and spin when they're caught red handed. The biggest problem here is spindoctors on the political left are perfectly happy to excuse completely unacceptable and broken system because it fits their agenda.
-
You're confused, a political campaign is not a news gathering organization.
-
Rubbish, there was a shot of the whole scene live that lasted many minutes with numerous angles (or at least zoom factors). There was no missleading impression as to the size of the crowd.
-
Good point, so the blood used would be his from an earlier donation right? Meaning that he was on the testosterone when it was drawn?

I'm not dead yet... http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2006/08/new-york-times-busted-in-hezbollah.html The floodgates are opening: http://hotair.com/archives/the-blog/2006/08/08/another-bogus-photo/ I guess that Israeli jet crashed into that tire dump.... The whole gathering process out there is now tainted to the core. Just keep saying it was just ONE guy....

Like you observe and others refuse to see, risk is not binary, it's a number between 1.0 and 0.0. Swooping a crowd of people is just the latest swooping canard and not the real issue at all. Just look at the title of this thread. I don't swoop but have no issues at all with guys tearing it up on a shared LZ or along the swoop line right next to the LZ. At some point we all take our chances and a heads up swooper is safer than some myopic boobie floating through the pattern. You take your chances and I tolerate them jumping just as they tolerated me when I was a the minted AFF grad boobie.

Driving is not a right, it is a privilege. Driving to work doing 70 mph down a residential street is an avoidable risk. Swooping through a crowded landing area is an avoidable risk. When your actions increase the risk of serious injury or death of others, whether in skydiving or driving down the street you are wrong. This has nothing to do with BASE jumping or the beer line. It is about dangerous canopy flying in the main landing area. There is a difference and I think you know it. I also think you are splitting hairs just to argue. Speeding is your analogy not mine. You could drive well within the speed limits obey all laws and still put others in jeopardy just by being on the road. It is unavoidable. Anyone's skydiving increases the risk people on the ground, I don't care how "safe" you claim you are or try to be, your fun and games in the air affects the safety of innocent bystanders on the ground, ALWAYS. It's an avoidable risk because you don't have to skydive, you're participating in recreation and it might injure or kill people, and of course skydiving is not a right it's a priviledge. I'm not splitting hairs. You want to start drawing lines in the sand based on perception of risk. Watch out because other's perceptions differ from yours and what goes around comes around.

Seen it already, but the worst aspect is the editors who use the selective clips from the raw footage to present a lie. It happens all the time, it's the stock in trade of some organizations. There's no such thing as journalistic ethics anymore, they don't even know what it means.

Yea this is not a new phenomenon, even an accurate photograph can be highly misleading with a deceptive caption, completely reversing the facts: http://www.honestreporting.com/articles/45884734/reports/The_Photo_that_Started_it_All.asp

Hmmm, carbon-14, what if he regularly ingested synthetic legal products with a non-natural isotope ratio? The real question I have is what benefit would a boost of testosterone have in the middle of the tour. If it could have helped performance and/or aggressiveness over the short term then it's quite damning. OTOH if it's only of long term benefit then there's something very strange going on that needs an explanation beyond simple doping. This was not the only test he'd had. Does anyone know the short term effects of testosterone and/or whether it can be used to mask other crap?

Methinks that's one trial that won't go well for the accused.

OUCH! My Triathlon was snivelly, I liked it. Stuffing the slider in without quartering is just rolling the dice. Pull so it gets you in the saddle on time and enjoy it.
