  1. I'm trying to sell my husband's first rig & just got a phishing scam e-mail. It just pisses me off. How ignorant does this person think I am? Gee, let me send you a couple THOUSAND dollars from a check I'll get on your behalf. . . sure, you trust me with this additional money. Bastards!!!!! Thanks for the vent. Keep fingers crossed I can find a reputable buyer. _____________ PMS #394
  2. Is she expecting to share your underware when she doesn't have money for laundry too?? Whenever I had a roommate in college we each had separate shelves for our own food & different areas of the fridge. There were certain things we'd share expenses on, like TP or milk. Other than that, you're ROOMMATES not a married couple. _____________ PMS #394
  3. 1) Use a well known canopy, that you're very comfortable with 2) Go where you've jumped alot before and are very familiar with 3) Go when there is a full moon 4) Go when they provide a nicely lit landing area 5) Have fun! ltdiver Good advise! Thanks. _____________ PMS #394
  4. This is such a great thread! I wasn't aware that there were so many people out there jumping who were also non-binocular seeing folks. I was born with Strabismus & have had 3 eye surgeries to correct the crossing -- but have never and will never see binocularly. I know I've designed my life to judge distances without depth perception, as I'm doing with my landing now. I'm getting much better at it than when I started jumping. i always flared too high. I do wonder about the whole night jumping requirement for the D-license when I get to that stage. . . other jumpers have told me to just do those jumps on a radio for flare height. I'm also thinking about the possiblity of a restricted D-license. I know I'm a distance away from actually dealing with this, but it's been mulling around in my mind. Opinions?? _____________ PMS #394
  5. If we don't I'll just have to join the Pink Mafia at Chicks Rock. _____________ PMS #394
  6. I figured as much, still cracked me up though.
  7. A little freudian slip there with the sue insead of due?? (well, not really freudian, but you get the point) _____________ PMS #394
  8. A good friend of mine is such a HST fan that he has the gonzo fist tatooed on his arm. _____________ PMS #394
  9. My husband had dreadlocks when I met him. At that time he also raced Motocross (ie helmet involved). He had no problem with wearing a helmet, but man, did his hair stink after a summer afternoon of riding!!! _____________ PMS #394
  10. My husband's 79 year old Grandma has a great saying for when she's flustered about something (picture a little grandma with a wispy voice said very fast) "shitfartbitch!!" _____________ PMS #394
  11. I would LOVE to be in the lower 60s! I forgot to add that it's still raining. True late winter/early spring weather a week before summer starts. . . _____________ PMS #394
  12. Could you shift a little of that to the Northwest???? We've barely gotten out of the lower 60's here. . . _____________ PMS #394
  13. I scored a 60. I guess being a tomboy as a kid was correct. . . edited: if I go back and take it to change the 6 I waffled on, I get a 120, so I guess that my range is 120-60. . . still a possible lesbian. . . I wonder if my husband knows. . . _____________ PMS #394
  14. I figure I have to master the Times crossword prior to statring sudoku. . . _____________ PMS #394
  15. Trader Joe's has these Habanero Pistachios. They're freakin addictive. They burn your lips, but you keep eating them . . . (sad, I know. . .) _____________ PMS #394
  16. I agree with the others who've said to hold on to your gear. Let your feet heal and reassess at that point. If you decide to not go up in the air again, it's really up to you. Big hug to you because any way you look at it, the situation sucks. I hope you heal quickly. _____________ PMS #394
  17. I ran track and field competitively for 11 years, skydiving was the first thing I felt that passionate about since my track career ended. Since my name is Jane, the whole "See Jane Run" came to mind... just twisted it a little to flow to skydiving. _____________ PMS #394
  18. I have a hot bod suit & absoultely love it. It also arrived a week and a half before it was estimated to be here. I just washed it for the first time this morning & it came out all sparkly and new looking.
  19. Most of the time when I make a sound effect, I don't realize it until after. When others ask for a repeat, I normally reply that I don't do it on demand. . . _____________ PMS #394
  20. Orange Haribo Gummi Bears. Yum. _____________ PMS #394
  21. I'm less thin than most for sure - but I did it. I didn't care then and I still don't. It wasn't about other people it was about us having fun. So - I would say who cares - it's about you, not them!!! Have fun if you do though!!! I think I'll probably do it this summer when it's really warm. It'll be a "get over it" moment _____________ PMS #394
  22. No matter how good looking you are or thin you are you are going to have body/skin flappage. Just look at someones face in freefall now imagine that it is there body. Naked jumps are great fun I've done 3 already and planning another in about 20 jumps (300) Thanks. I got a good laugh out of that visual, especially since I jump mainly with bigger guys who fall like rocks. . . _____________ PMS #394
  23. Yep. That had been my excuse to not go nekid, but now I'm starting to get much more frequent stand up landings. . . _____________ PMS #394
  24. This may be a totally dumb post, but does anyone on a nekid jump really care if you have a little extra fat?? I'm not huge, but not stick thin either. Self conciousness is really the only thing holding me back from it. _____________ PMS #394
  25. I would like to learn how to not live marked by my childhood. To live with ease of being so sure of who I am that I know I'll be able to handle whatever comes my way. _____________ PMS #394
