    Oh, I don't know about that. It's not very accessible in the picture. But with the risers stretched out from the canopy being in flying configuration it would be the same as normal. And the same thing would make it hard to actually cause a hang up. But just a little more material through that large ring and it could be trouble.

    Seriously, despite the Bolton/Pompeo hardline managing to keep Trump from giving away the farm to Kim for a short term political gain, the damage has already been done. It was done in the first round when Russia and China began to more and more ignore the sanction regime that the Obama team had them reluctantly following. Not that I think that would have lasted either. The goal of Kim now is to force the US and the west into accepting NK as a small time nuclear power. This latest summit did nothing much to advance or to slow down this process. It just keeps it slowly moving along. NK did not make the sacrifices needed to get this far to just give up its weapons. The Great Negotiator has not really had any great effect one way or the other on what the real outcome will be. But he sure has managed to give Kim a great chance to put on a show for the folks back home.

    I agree with you. And I frequently point it out to people. I have not actually heard of it causing a hang up, but I'm sure it could.

    Yeah, but I'll bet dollars to donuts that at least half of the Russian arsenal is out of service by now. Putin and company can't turn a profit on them. Plus Russia is controlled by pragmatists. America is controlled by fundamentalists.

    They have very publicly stated their justification here. At least some of them have. You just refuse to accept and/or believe what they are saying. Accountability? They have that, you have a vote. Use it. BIG Parachute will answer to the "little people". As far as subpoena goes, you are not paying attention. Incident Reports are stripped of the information they provide, and then destroyed by USPA policy. I posted the rule and the link earlier. This is done specifically so there is nothing for anyone to subpoena. CSPA has a similar system. Again, BIG Parachute is not out to eat it's young, or to feed lawyers.

    If you don't understand the value of beauty, either male of female beauty, you are just not paying attention. It has always been valued and it always will be. You likely possess a fair amount of it yourself. That undermines your ability to understand what it is like to live without it. It goes hand in hand with youth many times, especially for women. But I don't blame you for being sick of the way we worship beauty. It is truly a subjective thing and is only of value in a narrow sense.

    I realize Americans don't see Canada as any more than a State they need paperwork to visit, but we actually are a separate country that is not AAD mandatory.

    The marketing is different and yes, an X-fire is not the same as a Crossfire 3, but it is similar. However, I thought you were choosing between a Sabre 2 and a Crossfire? All the comments here are about making sure you understand that these are very different canopies in very different classes. Like I already said, the Safire 3 competes with the Sabre 2. Crossfires, X-fires, Stilettos, and even Katanas are all elliptical canopies and are share characteristics. You need to decide what you are looking for in a canopy and it is clear that you don't yet understand what each of these designs do. Do not rely on the marketing of the manufacturer. Talk to experienced people who have jumped different types of canopies. That said, all these are very good canopies, but it is important that you understand just what they do before you decide. If you are looking at Sabre 2s you should also be looking at Safire3, S-fire, and even Pilots for comparison.

    Sorry, I assumed you would understand. X-fire is often used as shorthand, like X-mas is for Christmas. But of course Icarus World and NZ Aerosports like to confuse everyone, including me. What I said applies to the NZ Crossfire 3 to be more clear. Most people would not consider it to be in the class as a Sabre 2.

    Looking at the description on that website I agree, it is hard for someone who doesn't already know to understand what an X-fire is all about. But if you dig past the marketing hype about "what a wonderful girl she is" you will see that it is a "fully elliptical" canopy with characteristics that are more like a Stiletto than a Sabre 2. The NZ Aerosports canopy that directly competes with the Sabre 2 is the Safire 3. Marketing these things like they are women just bugs me BTW.

    No, but you have said that I do. I blame the police for the fiasco of locking up the innocent couple. This is the second time in this thread that you have misquoted me or accused me of saying things I did not. The mass hysteria I refer to does extend to airport management and to the public through the media.
