The DNC paid Fusion GPS a Washington company. According to the link you posted.

Hey Billy, did you marry a virgin? Or is your wife a slut too?

Trump and family have made many announcements about their largesse. So far with no actual money changing hands. Over and over and over.

There are two brand new airliners that made craters. This is unheard of. It's only due to the enormous power and influence that Boeing wields that it took so long for the FAA to react. This machine with it's new engine placement is inherently unstable it turns out. Boeing used it's influence to get the kludge approved, then hid it from the customers and the pilots. This is going to turn into a major scandal and both Boeing and the FAA are going to be dragged through the mud. The 737 Max program is finished. The FAA may not pull it's certification, but the public and the airlines will not accept this aircraft. Boeing is going to lose billions over this. They will have to redesign the airframe to use the engines and the name 737 will be retired. https://theaircurrent.com/aviation-safety/what-is-the-boeing-737-max-maneuvering-characteristics-augmentation-system-mcas-jt610/

Military aircraft have used software and computers to assist pilots in dealing with inherently unstable airframe configurations for years. But it appears to be not an appropriate solution in the civilian airliner market if this is an indication. Likely a matter of the sheer number of aircraft and hours flown. What can go wrong will go wrong. And only a few hundred of the few thousand ordered have been delivered. This has the potential to be a problem of huge proportions for Boeing. I'll wait for the stock to drop a lot more than it already has before I consider a purchase.

Incidents from Jumping a CYPRESS that is overdue for Maintenance
gowlerk replied to jakebaustin's topic in Gear and Rigging
A good example of the proper way to look at this is what happens in aircraft maintenance. After a 100 hr. check there can be many tasks that need to be completed before the next 100 hr is due. But the aircraft goes out to work anyway. It may not be airworthy for another complete 100 hrs. , but that is irrelevant. The out of phase tasks must be accomplished as they become due. The AMO does not bear responsibility for this. It is the responsibility of the aircraft owner and/or the pilot to track these items and make sure the aircraft is airworthy before each flight. But of course, someone much smarter than I once said, "skydivers are the least disciplined of all aviators". -
It's easy to see how it plays out. The BoD passed the item. It is a BSR. You will whine about it because you believe it is part of a plot by Big Parachute. They will carry on, you will carry on, and no one will change their mind. Only a very few of those 34,977 will see this forum and know that it bothers you. And that's because you will never do a damn thing about it other than complain in this forum. And even if you did, few would agree with you.

There is no free trade agreement between China and the US. So I'm not sure how it could be a mistake. And the one they were working on with Canada seems to be on a long hold thanks to our American cousins putting us in a spot over trying to enforce their withdrawal fro the Iran agreement.

Incidents from Jumping a CYPRESS that is overdue for Maintenance
gowlerk replied to jakebaustin's topic in Gear and Rigging
Honestly, I feel this is a lot like the current trend to force ground perfectly good PDRs that are 20 years old. There is no reason, there is clear guidance from the manufacturer that it is not necessary, yet more and more lofts refuse to pack them. Of course they are all gear dealers too. And I bet every one of them will mumble some bullshit about potential lawsuits. The best all-purpose excuse ever. -

Let me get this clear, are you calling me stupid? Are you threatening my certification? Can you justify any of the things you are saying or are you just spewing out your gut feelings? -

Thanks for you permission and concern. A lot of people have unreasonable fears about the civil law system in America. I'll bet you can cite no applicable case law though. Blaming fear of lawsuits is an old and tired excuse for all sorts of questionable behaviors. Riggers tend to be control freaks, it's in the nature of the game. I know there will be riggers jumping all over me for my position. I could not care less. -
Wouldn’t it make more sense if all sliders were less flat?
gowlerk replied to sheeks's topic in Gear and Rigging
Maybe, I don't know and neither does anyone else as far as I can tell. In my mind the picture I have is the slider filling up faster therefore not allowing a space for the deflected air to fill and begin the process. But it's all just a theory. -
A great stunt to add to the end of a proxy flight. If USPA won't sanction wingsuit BASE how are the kids going to learn?

Bring it to me. I will repack it and sign the card if the AAD is not expired and if you sign a note agreeing that I have informed you of the expiry date. When it leaves my loft it is airworthy. I am not required to guarantee that it will remain airworthy for 180 days, or a year, or even the next day. Skydivers are adults and responsible for their own gear. -

Although what you said is unarguably true, it is also true that the relative wind is not always effective at keeping the slider in place till line stretch. That can and has had fatal consequences. Some openings allow the slider to travel down the lines far enough and early enough to make it ineffective. The slider needs to inflate like a mini parachute immediately as it becomes exposed to the relative wind or it will not function correctly. We do not fully understand why this fails to happen sometimes. Deflection of the airflow off of the much larger bottom skin of the canopy may be a factor. The heavy wide tape around the edges of the slider folding inward making the effective size of the slider may also contribute. But in any case the slider failing to do it's job is the primary cause of brutal rouge openings. It is possible but unproven that a domed slider is more likely to reliably function as the mini parachute needed to catch the relative wind and stay in place until line stretch. However the only reason I feel it may do so is that it is shaped more like a parachute than a flat slider is. In other words it is strictly intuitional thinking with no data to back it up. -
I wonder if Breitbart or someone else will come up with a fancy name for the hoards of middle class suburbanites, especially women, who are fleeing the Trump Party in droves? Trexit perhaps?

Hard openings have been instant death from aortic separation for more than a few people. -
mmmmmm.......If you are going to make claims like that to back a point you need to take care that they are accurate. Get it?
-
Yes, I at least partly blame Trump for this. China and Russia both slacked off of sanctions and began quietly pursuing more profits after his "detente" with Kim.
-
That is just the sort of thing the Stephen Miller, Steve Bannon, Trumpists are working to stop. Those are undesirables that lead to chain migration from "shithole countries". That's not going to MAGA.

I love this stuff.

Answer from Sunpath.... The K was added back in 2000, when Kyle Collins redesigned the Javelin. Pack Volumes are still the same K and pre K. It seems it was merely an internal matter, I have no idea what changed with the "redesign". As far as I can tell Sunpath has made numerous small detail improvements over the years. I always thought of it as an evolution more than a redesign.
-
That is also why the Dem establishment is afraid of her.
-
Does anyone (besides Sunpath) know when the letter K was added to Javelin model numbers, why it was added and what it means? I can find no documentation of what this change means on their website or in the manual. I know, I could just email them and ask, and I probably will, but putting it here gets it in front of others who may want to know.

Just to update the original post. ... my customer received her Vigil today. Vigil America expedited the shipping and took care of her. She is happy. It ended up being about 8.5 weeks.
