  1. So far, thankfully not......It's nice of you to ask though.
  2. Clearly Barr is attempting to distract attention away from the Mueller report. The Trumpettes will trumpet the party line. No one else will be fooled.
  3. I see more than enough of that crap on Facebook. I don’t need to see more of it here.
  4. Yeah Billy, they’ve been talking about that for a long time now haven’t they? How much you wanna bet it goes absolutely nowhere? About the same number of charges as the Benghazi waste.
  5. No, he did not. And neither has anyone else.
  6. I guess changing the subject is a form of moving on. Thanks.
  7. My wife used those for a long time on her Sidewinder. But if you look you will see that the toggle tip ends up being thicker because it is four layers rather than the standard three. This led to many problems with steering lines refusing to release the cat eye on her Pilot. No cut aways, but lots of struggles.
  8. That's just Billy's hyperbole. It's not fair to call him out on it. He learned it from the Great Leader.
  9. Hmmm. my two cents on that. Billy is a hardball player. And he can sure be irritating with his name calling. But I haven't seen him directly attack other posters here. I'm hoping we can keep him around for a little while longer. I need the shredding practice.
  10. Open it in an incognito window. Worked for me anyway.
  11. Ha, it's far more fun to point out the holes in your points. As long as you don't start spouting semi-literate nonsense like that guy from SD I'll keep engaging you. Sometimes parts of what you say are even correct!
  12. Didn't seem to stop the other team last time. In the end they rallied around their QB and pulled off the hail Mary.
  13. Probably just Trump style hyperbole. I hear it's perfectly acceptable these days.
  14. Republicans will vote R, Democrats will vote D. The smaller slice of people in the middle will be the deciders. Like always. How can anyone work with him? Seriously his word is worth absolutely nothing. Even the Rs can't work with him because they can't take his word for anything. But one thing you are correct about, the fight against him sucks all the oxygen out of the room.
  15. It is. But it is better than what came before it, it was all that could be passed. And no one has come up with a better plan that can pass. So in that light it is an accomplishment.
  16. There is no doubt that CNN and some others are basically at war with Trump. It can easily be argued that Trump provoked the war on purpose. But it can't be proven. That's part of his genius for media manipulation. "Dumbocrcats"?, really Billy it's hard to take you seriously when you constantly stoop down into the gutter and reach for insults instead of using reason. Who are you hoping to impress? Maybe Marc? It's appropriate when you are rooting for 'Bama to trash talk, I guess you think of public policy as nothing but a team sport.
  17. Yes, what America, and the west in general needs is a good existential threat. It would invigorate everyone and put an end to the fighting over small things that we all pretend are important. Focus the mind and all. Maybe China can provide it? Islamists tried, but the ones that are extreme enough are not really that strong. Most Muslims are pretty much like us. Just trying to get along in a changing world.
  18. I think you are right about that direction. Autonomous and EV are going to go hand in hand in the fairly near future. I still have some doubts about autonomous, but it's clear they are coming sometime.
  19. I've heard this quite a few times over the past few years. A good theory, but the infrastructure challenges are immense. First of all, standardization of batteries, both the tech and the form factor would need to happen. And it would need to be across all manufacturers to be really effective. The batteries are highly energetic and need to have good protection and containment in the event of collisions. Hard to do with an easy to swap system. None of this is insurmountable, but it is hard to imagine it happening. What could be more practical is a system of rented or leased vehicles where the user would just get out of one vehicle at a charging station and get into another and be on their way.
  20. I'm not sure how SNL relates to Franken being forced by pressure from within the D party to resign. I'm am pretty sure this is just plain wrong. Trump had tons of opposition from within the R party, as he bitterly complained about. He could never have lasted as D nominee after pussy grabbing gate. The D party is full of navel gazers. It's what they do ya know.
  21. You are pretty heavily losing this argument over the future of EVs. Are you really trying to make some point? Maybe just get to it and move on.
