Ron and his ilk like the aspect of Trump that isolationists have always liked. It's often called nativism. "America first", and "The Wall", tariffs, and the like are all about building a "fortress America". It makes them feel that he will at least try to keep them safe from the demographic changes that are happening all around them. It's easy to see why people like Ron would feel Trump is a "dedicated American".

What Usually Comes w/ a Used Canopy?
gowlerk replied to PlaneFun's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
That wouldn't bother me that much. But the $35 for a set of reserve Slinks would annoy me. Unless it was disclosed at the time of sale, those links go with the canopy and belong to the buyer. If you have non-cascaded A-B centre lines you likely were using either a Raven or a Tempo, Usually people put the B lines on the outside. But as far as I know it is not specified anywhere that I can find and it does not really matter. Tempos always come with nice #5 stainless steel Mallion Rapide links. Sometimes sellers will try to keep them, or even substitute crappy inferior links. -
What Usually Comes w/ a Used Canopy?

I don't know about rage. But I would also be pissed if I bought a used canopy, reserve or main, and links were not included. -
Except those who just can't understand why the market values Tesla so highly!

That was back when he was already a racist prick, but not yet a senile dotard.

There is no doubt, conservatism is about fear.

Enough of the thread drift. Here's a story about a bystander killed before X-mas while Americans engage in their shootout pastime. https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/crime/bystander-killed-after-argument-erupts-into-gunfire-in-red-bird-dallas-police-say/287-2922ec54-ab42-4223-afa2-caf1ac3d3911

I hope He is not found in a back yard in America. This time someone will shoot Him without even a show trial.

LOL. Barr is some kind of genius at fear mongering I guess.

God does not want that type of basic research done in Her favoured Nation.

Seriously? You think that the billboard example I used to illustrate a point is all I base my feeling on? Religious extremism is something I worry about because in both your country and mine one of the main political parties who hold power are dominated by people, mostly men, who would impose religion as the basis for law upon our nations. It's no joke and no small matter.
-
You have no idea how irritating it is to have religion shoved in your face all day long. I'd love to shut the fuck up, just as soon as I stop seeing fucking billboards on the highway telling me that I am going to fucking HELL.

You probably did not intend it, but the whole thing went off the rails when you basically attacked Nigel for the way he is raising his children. No one is EVER going to respond well to that sort of criticism. We all must struggle with what to believe, thank you for sharing part of your personal battle to evolve.

It's a happy time of the year for many. For others it can be very depressing ordeal. Often because of missing past good times and impossible to meet expectations. Count your blessings if you can.

I love Americans! I even have American cousins, aunts and uncles. Just don't try to pour me any of the Kentucky Bourbon. I'll drink American wine though. Even if it's from Oregon.

Let it be known that I am trying hard to cultivate my taste and tolerance of poison whiskey. Oak tree you're in my way.

Tesla, GM Lose Bid To Raise Ceiling For Federal EV Tax Credit

What about the share price Brent? Someone disagrees with your analysis. Which I keep pointing out and you keep just glossing over. Do you believe in the market or not? -
The only deep seated belief I hold on the nature of what we call our existance is that I , along with you and everyone else have no way of knowing. And yes, I'm sure that is The Truth Of The Matter. Oh, and 42.

If he even existed. Which there is absolutely no proof of. There are no contemporaneous accounts of him, and no archeological proofs exist either. The gospels are clearly about someone that was believed to have existed. But they certainly leave room for both believers and doubters. In any case there is no clear birth or death date for him. Making it very easy and convenient to take over both the winter solstice and the spring celebrations as the church slowly imposed its will on the population of Europe. Christianity and most religion is about power and glory. Not of God, but of priests and kings.

Sorry, the only White Fang I remember is the Jack London novel I read. In the sixties as a child. Does that make me a "White Fang guy"?

Do Christians reflect on the inevitable second coming and wistfully hope the end times?

Oh yes, Oban comes to mind as an easy to like drink. I was raised to drink Ballantines because my dad kept it in the house. Making it our house brand I guess. I understand that malt whiskey is harder and can be more expensive to make than that from other grains. But like I said, they are all poison, they taste like poison, and the only real difference is that some are slightly less horrible tasting than others. All whiskey tastes bad.

You really do think that everyone and everyone's family is the same as yours?

I guess all those investors buying all that stock don't know as much as you do. In case you didn't know, sometimes a company will not turn a profit because it is spending on building assets and capabilities for the future. Maybe you should learn about basic principles of investing. But yes, of course you are already smarter than both Musk and all the experienced capitalists who are foolishly looking to the future while you steadfastly stick to the past. -
Yup, Christians see no irony at all in placing their manger scene right beside or even under the decorated tree!
