If you could only meet one person here this year you haven't met yet..
hexadecimal replied to cocheese's topic in The Bonfire
She's a total nerd. -
I'm scared of BASE jumpers.

Do you have any skydiving videos made with it that you wouldn't mind sharing? I've been trying to get someone to send me a real-world video shot with their SCX105 for quite some time... but nobody seems to want to do it.
-
I considered it at one point, and know a lot of other people both male and female who have had it done. Pretty much every one of them has said it's the most painful piercing they've ever had done.
-
250 Just went back and looked at the post I was replying to again... should have paid attention to the image title (I did in fact think it was a 250).
-
How did you like it?? I've been wanting to get my hands on one for a LONG time... but never had the balls to pull the trigger each time I've had a chance to acquire one.

Peeing in a pool is fucking disgusting. Peeing in rivers and lakes isn't quite as bad... but I try to avoid heavily populated beaches. I won't get within a 1/4 mile of the public beach / campground on the lake where my cottage is. Cramming 500 rednecks into the water (most of whom actually LIVE on that camp ground year round) is sure to have some nasty results. I've seen a few of them bathing in there as well

The trailer looks really cool... can't wait for a playable demo

The saying I've heard goes something like "It's not a matter of if you'll drop your bike... but a matter of when". I don't know anyone who has had a sports bike more than 4 or 5 years and hasn't dropped it at least once at speed.
-
...and judging by your picture, you fit right in with most of the other squids riding Hayabusas. I'm just going to go ahead and thank you in advance for further raising the ridiculous insurance rates sports bike riders get to deal with.

Thanks Tom, I'll definitely PM him when I get home from work and have more time. It would be great to hear from someone capable of comparing two courses. To clarify for everyone who doesn't have anything to compare with... I wasn't looking for comparisons so much as just a general summary of the experience, and a personal opinion of the instruction given and how well they felt that it prepared them for the jumps they've made since.

I'm aiming to possibly take the Apex FJC some time this year (probably July or later), and was wondering if anyone had any first hand experiences to share? Before I get attacked and told to do a search... I already did, and didn't find much. PM is fine if anyone would rather not post here for whatever reason. Thanks in advance.

Didn't you almost hurt yourself making a low turn not too long ago? I thought you posted something about that recently.

Whoops... looks like we upset an internet tight ass who takes message board discussions very seriously. Carry on then. -

Neptune. It's small, light, easy to read, and comfortable to wear. The logging feature is nice, too.

My pride(s) and joy... both "toys" are currently missing pieces since I haven't had time in the past few months to fix them, though Looking to replace the bike with a CBR600RR this spring.

Making Love to a household utensil or food product
hexadecimal replied to funks's topic in The Bonfire
Making love to that thing in the drain that makes noise when you flip a switch is something I'd definitely suggest trying. There's nothing quite like it. -

Me 2. FUCK OFF! Grow a sense of humor, it was a joke. Sorry, So was the reply... FUCK OFF! -
This sim is going to be based on the X-Plane engine, isn't it? Should be awesome if it is... that engine has a lot of potential being held back by lack of development and a following of "flight simulator purists" who have nothing better to do but complain that combat within X-Plane would ruin it

It's pretty obvious that some of the people in this thread aren't familiar with the "American way"... which is to rely on society to keep your children safe and out of trouble.
-
I am thankful I live in a country where this is possible
hexadecimal replied to rasmack's topic in Speakers Corner
Have I said anything excluding Americans? What makes you proud to be American? I was being sarcastic Though sadly, most people who say such things are not.
