  1. me and some others are looking at making a eu trip around the stupino meet, norway, switzerland, france are on itenirary so far... all are welcome... especially of the ovarian variety
  2. thats easy... the first one..
  3. was last nite... true solo... 280 ft crane sitting in the cab, contemplating. clean lz, no balls... the walkway on the boom only went out about 20 ft from the structure.... there was also a basket that looked like it moved with the cable pulley, but was out of reach.. what now? shimmy on the outside of the boom hand over hand? or just go from the end of the walkway?.... scary as hell, easing up the stairs, totally alone... and the 4 ft gap between the crane and building was unnerving while stepping over 160 ft of nothing but black death.... thoughts?

    gear sizing

any word on those pics? id really like to see this.. im jumping a warlock, and couldnt engineer a total, but the idea scares me...
  5. problem located.... find a way to get a smaller aperature (as everyone else has said) aperature priority, higher iso (allows smaller ap, due to increased light sensitivity) more light.etc.. maybe do a bit of research on how and why camera components interact, and the results to be expected.... there are way to many posts like this...

    BASE in a Hoody

well then wear a fucking sweatshirt or move to florida where the winter nite-time-antenna-climb usually involves a long sleeve tshirt to keep hypothermia from setting in... (is IS like... 62 degrees or something....freezing...) seriously tho.. a tshirt, a thermal long sleeve, and a impermeable, no hood (or zipaway hood) shell should work just fine... otherwise its too cold, or youre just not climbing hard enough...
  7. your problem is youre not supposed to jump when its that cold outside..evidenced by all that white stuff all over everything... (what the hell is that anyway?)
  8. ...she should at least name the child something interesting.... bounce? dodge? ....what say the masses?

    advice..

this is from the rockclimbing forums, but i belive it can apply to base.... the underlines and parenthesses are mine respect the earth...fuck the man...fly free.
  11. you have got to be kidding me coco... nobody knows exactly what happened. and id be willing to bet my left nut ,that while im sure there were gusts of that magnitude, the deceased probably didnt jump in 100mph winds... and even if he did, it dosent justify comments like that... what if you went in? on accident of course..noone ever intentionally goes in (minus suicides) and some low-timer, who participates in a totally diifferent sport, smears you all over the rockclimbing forum? some rappeller:"oh, some fuccking idiot killed himself (you, hypothetically) jumping a building (without prerequsite expereince) in virgina beach last nite because his chute didnt work... no disrespect to the dead, but what a dumbass!!" im not really flaming you as much as im trying to say perhaps a bit of tact and respect is in order... have a nice day....
  12. i agree wholeheartedly there tom, and very much understand where you are coming from, however, as i live in florida, there wont be much mountaineering going on... there will be a considerable amount of ladder climbing, reconnisance, and late nite debauchery going on tho... respect the earth...fuck the man

    ski-base

... ..snowbird? i fucking love the watsatch area..... cottonwood canoyons here i come, doo-da,doo-da
  14. in max distance position your chest should be in your chest, looking more where youve been then where youre going.... hence the reasoning behind a chest miunt alti on a ws jump.... match this w/an audible or two and i think you have a fairly solid setup....
  15. hello, i dont post here often but perhaps this time someone can be of some help.... i read in a different thread a few weeks ago about zagis, and someone posted a site where you could order complet kits, from 360-500+...radio,batteries,wing..etc... all included.. i tried a search but no luck... any help out there? first hand experience? christmas is coming soon, and the gf needs some info thanks to all in advance, pm if you wish... cya...
  16. oi... looking at purchasing a mountaineering watch and figured theres probably some out there who can give recomendations from personal experience.... must haves... alti in small increments, barometer, compass.... also not huge and ridiculous looking any help/recomendations out there?
  17. i think parachutist is more for entrylevel jumpers, based mostly on its lack of substance... i know when i started jumping,i lookede forward to the next issue, now it goes straight to the waitnig room for the whuffos at work.... maybe no base in parachutist isnt such a bad thing...
  18. i would like a copy... i let my subscription lapse, and long enough for them to stop sending (which was quite a while), resuscribed, and missed december... a freind told me there was a writeup 'bout bridge day, and that my name was in it.... would love have a copy and see what its all about... ill send money or whatever.... give a shout..904.449.8081
  19. yeah, thats fuckin sweet but you had to register by two days ago....
  20. excellent work home-boy..... and great music as well... a little vaya actoin for the masses... still lookin forward to slock n flack 1.0.... cya
  21. well.... lets look at what should be obvious assuming you (or anyone else) is seriously considering base.... this is all in relation to the first video... wrong number one.. look at homeboys rig... wrong tools for the job... thats like hitting a baseball w/ a golf club... itll probably work, just not as well as the bat would.. (its a skydiving rig....) wrong number two... you see the way the bridle goes around his arm? hence the hesitation... and the gonthrow... pc is to small for that short of delay...look at all those oscillations...
