No it is not true. It's just a funny story leading up to a good punch line. Nate was making a joke when we stopped at a diner, as we were walking in the place he amde a joke about them not serving black people and what he would say if that was the case but it wasn't. My best friend Nate who jumps at Orange in VA. We went thru the student program together. Nate got his coach rating a couple of years ago and is a very active jumper. We have gone to a couple of boogies together and gets really excited when he sees another balck jumper. nate is agreat guy and a ton of fun to hang out with. He can design a mean Pimp glass for drinking. Once on the way back from a boogie me and nate stopped at this little redneck diner for a bite to eat. When we walked in the waitress told us "we don't serve black people" Without missing a beat Nate says to the waitress "that's good because I don't eat them". Some of my most memorable jumps have been with Nate. The man has mad skillz. In fact I am calling him now to let him know about this thread. he will get a good laugh, he has a great sense of humor when it comes to this sort of thing. Squeak, this is how it works. The amount of interest is calculated on a daily basis on the current loan balance. hat is why at the beginning of the loan a majority of the payment goes towards interest and very little towards the principle. This division of the payment reverse it self as time goes on. Approximately halfway thru the lloan term the payment would almost be split down the middle. if you send 2 checks, the first one for the regular monthly payment amount covers the interest that has accrued since the last payment and the amount left over from that payment is applied to principle. Steve, I will give you my expert opinion (I am a VP of lending for a major financial institution). Don't hold it against me. I did not create the current situation. I am left to clean up everyone else's mess. But back to the matter at hand. It would be best to continue to make your monthly payments and apply the additional each month. If you send a check every month then you will want to send 2 checks. One check will be for the regular monthly payment and the second check will be the additional money that you want applied directly to the principle of the loan. be sure to write "apply directly to principle" in the memo section of the second check. If paying on computer just make 2 separate payments, making sure the first payment made is the regular monthly payment. This method of payment will have a positive effect on your credit score, since one the factors in determining someone's credit score is the current outstanding debt compared to the high credit limit of each creditor. Since this is an installment loan, your high credit on this account would be the original balance of the loan. Your credit score will increase if you just pay the loan off but the increase will be smaller than doing it the way I suggested. I hope this helps. True! without Favre they never would have made it that far but what good is it to make that far then do something (like throw an interception) to lose the game. It's the same old attitude "what have you done for me lately". I don't discount the importance Favre has had in the succes of the Packers but the FACTS not opinion (Favre holds the record for most interceptions thrown in a season) are that over time he will do more to hurt you than help you. Last time I checked Favre had one super bowl win in what 15 years and Brady has 3 in 7 years. I have made a bunch of jumps while listening to my IPOD. I agree with the other posters here that at your jump numbers the ipod thing needs to wait awhile. But Having said that I respectively disagree with the people who say you should not jump with it at all. I only use when I am doing a hop and pop and if I am going solo. I do not use it when I am freeflying ether by myself or with other people and I do not use if I am doing a hop n pop with other people. I did once when 4 of us did a high pull together and when I got down one of the guys I was with said he was trying to talk to me under canopy but i did not hear him. So I quickly decided not to do that again. So yes I do not think wearing an ipod under certain circumstances is a inherently dangerous thing. I don't do it because I think it's cool or that i am better than anyone else. For those people who do use them in freefall I do not judge negatively. It is their choice and right to do what they wish. All of us are responsible for our own choices. We choose to get on the plane, we choose who to jump with or without, we choose our own gear, what type of jump we are going to make etc.. It's official. Brady is done for the season. He was placed on IR this afternoon. Surgery later this week and then rehab hell. I am not ready to kiss off this season yet considering who else is in the division. But we may have a long road ahead of us to the playoffs. They say defense wins championships so this will be a real test of that. hang in there mamajumps it is a long season and anything can happen and usually does. I have a very good froend that works in the ptariots front office. He told me they alreday know Brady is out for the season and they are bringing in 2 QB's today for a tryout. Chris Sims and possibly Tim Rattay but not sure about him. For all you Jets fans get a grip. Favre will do more to hurt you than help you in the long run. Please refer to last year's NFC championship game for proof. Also, don't forget that Brady came in to play after Drew Bledsoe got hurt in the second game of the season. I am not saying that cassel is another Brady but before Bledsoe got hurt not too many people had even heard of Tom Brady. This placed has been closed now for several years. There wasn't much to it. A short dirt runway, small landing area and very little outs. If you are in Virginia, you really should check out West Point. Big landing area (largest in VA), great views all the way to the ocean, very friendly people. It is also located close to the highway (15-20 minutes from the interstate). Compared to other DZ where you have to drive 45 minutes or more on country roads. Mesquite is the place to go. I was there several years ago and I was never treated better as a visiting jumper than I was at Mesquite. People there are real friendly and welcoming. I have SKYDYV in Virginia and I have DZCONDO on my camper. I had JUMPOUT on my old truck. I just bought a new car and I am looking for suggestions for the plate.
