  1. There are/were warning signs at Perris Valley that said something like "Warning Propellers Rip Off Heads" with a picture of a propeller hitting a guy in the head and I think he had "X's" for eyes. Am I remembering that right? If so, does anyone have a picture of that sign?
  2. I'm a T3 para so I'm pretty much on your level as far as breathing goes. It's nothing to worry about. Not a problem at all. Your legs won't get whipped around because I'm sure they'll be velcro'd to the instructors legs but one thing to consider is your arms. C5 has biceps but no triceps, right? They may get whipped around a bit on opening. Might want to ask the instructor about this as well. I'm sure it's not a big deal seeing as how it's all been done before.
  3. I've posted these before. I think Blondie's looks cooler though. That hook looking one on the top is pretty neat! She definitely wins for 2007. Mine was back in 2005.
  4. Maybe you can do this and I just don't know how. Would it be possible to make the search function more localized. For instance, would it be possible to search just in The BASE Zone. Right now when you type something in the search it looks through all the forums.
  5. I don't get this part. How do you secure them? If the canopies is packed do you have one really long piece of break cord from the attachment point to the object? If so couldn't the break cord separate prematurely still and keep the pack closed? I'm obviously missing something.
  6. Part of me feels that makes perfect sense (why keep destroying perfectly good PC's) and another part of me feels that's not a very good idea. Wouldn't you want the PC to be in prestine condition if your static line broke prematurely? I'm just thinking that a torn PC might not work as well as one in good condition. Is it just one of those trade-off's of cost/chance it'll happen/will the damaged PC really work that much less?

I heard somewhere in some first aid class or maybe it was my EMT class I don't remember. 50 degree water, 50 yards, 50/50 chance you'll make it. It seems a bit hard to believe but maybe it is true with full clothing, who knows. Anyone else heard something like this?
  10. My company at the time paid for me to take the yellow belt training. I really feel like it is all a fancy way to present things that should be common sense. I don't need a fishbone or X-Y matrix to tell me that some other department is holding things up. Just stop and use your common sense and you'll figure it all out. My $0.02.
  11. Ooooohhhhh!!!!!! Think the pond would end up being deep enough for me to land in?
  12. Hey, is this pond going to be off an "A" or a "B" by any chance? If so think I can use it to land in?
  13. As mentioned many times before, this type of towing is a BAD idea even with a cutaway system! Not trying to flame you or call you stupid or anything, just trying to warn you.
  14. Does piloting it to the water count? I've only landed on the ground (rocks) once and it really wasn't piloted to the rocks all that safely. Does that ocunt? Am I a BASE jumper?
  15. Then there are the possible rigging errors with slider off.
  16. They are a little bigger than the average cat but only by a couple pounds.
  17. Bengals are hypo-allergenic naturally. My fiance is allergic to cats but she's fine with our Bengal. And they're cute too!!!
  18. You have to be logged in to view it.
  19. You could always buy a "C" model and order an extra "non-C" barrel. I own a G23C and I love it. It does make the front sight a little dirty but nothing that can't be fixed with a quick wipe of a cloth (like your shirt). I don't think they're THAT much louder than "non-C" models. But I do think the "C" model has quite a bit less muzzle flip. As far as the blinding yourself in low light situations. That's been a controversy for a long time now. I don't think it makes a difference. Another thing you'll hear about the "C" models is the potential for burning yourself if shot with your arm retracted and close to your side. Whatever. I'm sure most people would suggest...borrow or rent a "C" model and shoot it and see what YOU think. I personally love my G23C!

She taugh me how to pack. I've still got a picture (somewhere) of me and her standing in front of my brand new Sabre 135 all packed up nicely on the ground waiting to be stuffed into the bag. I had a crush on her.
