If you've ever watched any video of jaime hucking,he doesn't just slide up to the edge of the cliff barely moving, he f#@king hauls ass off the edge. -
Do you think that streamlining the head/helmet with the leading edge of the wing would make a significant difference? Maybe some sort of hood that went from mid upper shoulder?

I use salomons occosionally, lower cuff though. I prefer something light weight and with softer sole than hardcore hiking boots.i think they are better for climbing around on b's and a's and aren'tas akward to jump in.

Yah, my first jump on a demo pilot was the worst opening i've ever had,slmmed open,4 line twist and slight diving turn. closest to cutting away as well. I think it might have been really bad packing after that it opened alright.

I disagree, Brian germain may have wrote the book but that doesn't mean he's right 100%. A ceiling is attacheched to the ground, why can't the canopy pivot on the air it rides on? ever swing on a set that is loose? the momentum from swinging changes the angle of the frame.

Maybe changing your attitude about fear might help? Being afraid is ok,theres nothing wrong with being afraid to jump, and like everyone else said, being confident in what you know will help you realize the fear is baseless and you will do fine during the jump. -
Both lodi,and skydance are about 1 1/2 from tahoe depending on weather.
