I used to think it was about egos as well. and I think some of it is. but mostly it's (in my opinion) about protecting the limited # of objects from people who have no respect for them, or for the other people that are jumping them.all they can think is "I'm gonne get mine". a few bad experiences and pretty soon you don't want to show people around any more....

Any body know if there is a difference in recovery arc between the NITRO and the NITRON? I jump a nitron 150 and find the recovery arc is very short...I liked the longer recovery arc of a sabre 2 when I demoed one, just doing 90's ...

You brits and your attitude I've never met him. Telling someone to get a life because one quote that you took so seriously.. Whats it to you if he doesn't have as much experience as you? You have to say he doesn't have a clue to make yourself feel like a big bad base jumper? You don't have any thing posted about your experience so who's saying your not some tosser spouting off with no experience?

whats with you guys? All your little egos hurt? The man asked a question, he didn't call you all pussies. to respond specifically. I think that there are jumpers that enjoy the illegal jumps that require those skills. That doesn't make them high profile city jumps, it just requires some stealth to pull them off. And there are lots of legal jumps that are just as hardcore, in different ways.."We" as a community are diverse in our choice and options for jumps, they all have different skill sets.

You definetely need to hook up with some jumpers for brento. Either with a car or to share the taxi, wich is not really reasonable for one jumper.Also there aren't any places to stay at the landing area. you can take the bus , but it's kind of a pain. The train does not go directly to arco.

just this weekend I was switching between my toxic 42 and a regular av 42 after having used the toxic for awhile. Noticed a difference of time from pitch to inflation, the toxic seemed quite a bit faster. The indivual pieces create a more true round inflated pc with less distortion of the edges. I definately reccomend them.

just a related thought. I have been wondering lately if the increase in deaths will shy away potential newbies because of a higher percieved risk?Increase interest? Or are other factors stronger?Trendy,cool,etc. Or will news of the deaths not even reach the potential new jumpers to have an effect?
