Hey Dude, Since you have plenty of time to do a full front, I think I would jump, go tucked and immediately go to layout again. You should be standup just a bit after you are at complete layout. That is what I do in the pool. (never done basejumping) You can always go more tucked if you want to rotate faster if you aren't 'far rotated' enough. It is better to underrotate, then to overrotate, since underrotating is easier to correct. Be carefull about going to layout. I see a lot of people in the pool (and also on base footage) who do not really go to layout. Their legs are still bent, so they move a lot faster. Make sure your legs are completely stretched. Diving training will do you no harm. I have a couple of adresses of places where you can learn to dive in Belgium, if you are interested, drop me a pm. Have fun on saturday, hopefully weather ain't shit as usual here... Chrees

Click right on the videofile. You can find it's source there and look at the file in windows media player. There you can go forward. Yeah, crap report -

Jeb got busted, but didn't call every press agency in the world to let them tell that he had done the jump or was going to do the jump. He did it more for the jump itself, to fullfill his dream (watch ground is the limit, he tells all about that jump in there) and not to gain media-attention, I think Also, I think that the jumps done in 'The Courier' were all done with permission. I don't think security would be able to laugh if you would come up with a couple of armed men to film and fly a heli around the building... -
It won't kill you, but if you go flat on your back you will probably break a couple of vertebrae. If you fall on your chest, well, I think you might get a change at killing yourself... Jumping from 25m flat on water is kinda the same a jumping from 10m on concrete...

I think Jarno already posted this some time ago. I'm too lazy to look up the thread.

Did you exclude elevator rides or not?
-
Think so, looking at the landing zone and that the jumper holds the PC in her left hand.

Re-re-re-re-repost? or is it a re-re-re-re-re-repost? Lock it up!

While looking at videos from aerials over the time, I noticed that different jumpers tend to twist in a different direction than other jumpers. I have seen people (including DW) twisting counterclockwise and other people (for example JF) twisting in the exact oposite direction. Is there a reason why some people twist counterclockwise and other clockwise? To me, twisting counterclockwise seems 'easier' for deployment. Or are there other factors in play that make up the direction you choose to twist in? Twisting post... Cheers Thijs

Judging from canopies forward speed on opening, I don't think that were proper DBS? I think that your survival change in the Cathedral increases if you tune your DBS properly? More important than having big balls in base, is having big brains (and knowing how to use them). Still, an incredible jump. I already get scared climbing in the cathedral, can't imagine how it must be like jumping into it.

Yeah, I know that already. But what songs are playing before that song of Massive Attack? Especially the one they are playing at 2:30 when they are flying over that famous wall.

I started skydiving with the inted to get into base sometime. I have asked the same question as you some time ago, but unfortunatly, nobody really answered the question. Nevertheless, this is the topic: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=1736387;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25;
