Crime stats showed clearly that in Bournemouth, Dorset the majority of fights and disturbances occur after the night clubs have closed in the vicinity of fast food establishments. Since so few are open you tend to get ALL club goers creating very long lines, full of drunk and potentially hostile people who are hungry and drunk. Solution? Ok, needed to expand: Audition is quite possibly the most unsettling movie I have ever seen. I'm a horror movie fan, I've been collecting them since I was 13 and have seen hundreds by this point. The stuff that I see most people freaking out about (Seven, Silence of the Lambs(!!!!!!?!?!?!?), [shitty hollywood scare flick #235]) usually dont phase me on a visceral level at all. Audition is so intense that it totally freaked me out. The wife sent it back to Netflix the next day she was freaked out too (and she is also a huge fan of genre flicks - hell, she's obsessing over Rob Zombie's movies right now). Watch it. Learn it. Someone like John is never going to understand that. It's simply not done in the US, no one trusts anyone and everyone will point to a million justifications as to why. It's part of the huge cultural divide. In the US I can't imagine walking too far at night without something on hand, whereas I'd still happily walk home from a bar at night in most places in the UK - including some inner city areas.
