  2. Jo wrote Both Sailshaw and Bruce have medical reasons to stay grounded. I wouldn't jump solo after a heart attack or with two artificial knees. I know both guys. Sail is a pilot. I think they'd both do fine as jumpers but prudence dictates otherwise. I would worry about Bruce a bit since he sees gravity as an option not a law. Sail, as an engineer, knows that he who thinks he can beat gravity will make a big impression, literally. Why don't you make a tandem jump Jo. FL is chock full of DZs. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  3. Prince Bruce wrote Xcellent. Bring some pics of Sheridan. I'm just curious if Ralph knew him. I'd also be curious to hear what Ralph thought about Teddy M. That manslaughter case alleged some unbelievably callous actions by Mayfield. Unsafe gear being supplied to student jumpers etc. Cossey's two faced claims about the survivability of the 727 jump should also be probed. Show Ralph examples. Glad to hear Sailshaw is getting around OK. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  4. Bruce, Thanks for interviewing Ralph. I hope you can do some more. That guy is DEEPLY connected to the NW skydiving scene and knew all the players. I'll bet he has further thoughts about Norjack and Cooper. I hope you can do some followup. Glad you didn't veer into politics. Ralph is to the far right of extreme right. Ralph also knows a ton about parachute gear and has a HUGE collection/inventory. Ralph's comment about the rigger seal (not pin) was interesting. He thought an intact seal meant no tampering. Rigger Perry Stevens, at the request of the FBI, planted locator transmitters in McCoy s chutes. I wonder if Perry affixed his rigger seal to the closing pin after doing that? I wonder if the FBI would have got more useful data by commissioning Ralph to do a real 727 jump as opposed to the sled tests? Maybe he quoted too high a price. Ralph is well known as a wheeler dealer, but if he likes you he will eventually give you a good deal. I speak from experience. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. 5. Nah, that last one is too far of a stretch. Everything else is a perfect fit. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  6. Jo wrote Really Jo? What evidence supports this extraordinary claim? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  7. Andy safe and presumably off of this forum for good. Blevins clean. Bruce done. Now, let's get back to DB Cooper. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  8. Been doin that since 68. It helped me figure out a few things but not Norjack. How the hell did that Cooper money get to Tina Bar? I sure miss WFFC. It was like a mainline hit of skydiving culture and the party often lasted ten days. Day trips to the local DZ just aren't the same thing. Welcome back gkc1436. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  9. Quade has some relevant first hand knowledge about jumping in Area 51. Ask him. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  10. Jo, When I cross examine you about your statement that devices placed on three towers were used by Cooper for navigation you dodge and weave and try to divert attention away from the alleged tower devices over to Duane's souped up CB. His CB was at best just a radio transceiver. It had nothing to do with navigation It doesn't work Jo. Just admit that the tower devices are speculation and we will let it be. If you present those tower devices as a fact it DOES undermine your credibility as it calls into question whether you have support for any other claims that you have made. When you make claims YOU have the burden of proof. You dodge that too. Your insistence that Duane was part of Norjack because you say so and the FBI can't prove he wasn't is absurd. The FBI's bungling about Duane's prison records doesn't link Duane to Norjack. You can't put Duane in the plane or even in a parachute. You flip flop between tagging him as the jumper or the ground man. Give us just ONE iota of unequivocal EVIDENCE that supports your claim about Duane's alleged connection to Norjack. Just one. You can't. All you have is speculation. Nothing more. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  11. Jo wrote You tell much more than you know Jo and you present it as fact. I guess you see no harm in it. You present as a fact that devices were placed on three towers that were used by Cooper for navigation. That's NOT a fact. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  12. Jo, You present conjecture as fact. That undermines your credibility. Your claims about secret state of the art radiolocation technology being used in Norjack is nothing but wild speculation on your part. Show us evidence if you wish to wipe the tarnish off your credibility. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  13. Jo wrote Jo, You have zero evidence that any extraordinary technology was used by Cooper. ZEEEERO. McCoy, Heady and others showed nothing special was needed. Nobody would like Cooper to have used nav and comm gear more than I. But there isn't a shred of evidence that he did. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. 14. Thanks for explaining it Jo. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  15. YES! The Dr fired me because of my refusal and I fired him after presenting a list of prescibed drugs versus the transcript from my pharmacy of all drugs filled and received by me over a 2 yr period of time. Drugs prescibed with 2 or 3 refills - DOES not mean the patient actually filled the script or refilled the script. Perhaps the Dr is a jumper and a pilot and he is aware of WHO I am. I cant figure out what you are saying Jo. Are you saying that someone other than you got the pain med refills? There are probably some DZ's where you could trade OxyC's for jumps. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  16. R99 wrote This Area 51 connection messes up everything about my conscious 727 choice theory. Cooper didn't even need a door. Teleporting through a Boeing fuselage shouldn't have been much of a problem. The chute request was just a clever diversion. Had he made his exit with no chute, the Area 51 connection would have been immediately obvious. That bomb was not an explosive device but rather an anti gravity force generator, something Bruce knows a lot about. Duane could have left prison any time he wanted to, bars were no barrier, but he stayed for a reason. It was part of his mission. He ought to get a posthumous medal. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  17. Bruce wrote If you wait long enough, Jo will connect everything. With Area 51 now in the mix we have a vertical alternative. Cooper may have gone UP after exitng. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  18. Jo wrote Really? You think you can prove that words on a forum caused you serious medical problems? Words that you could have easily ignored? No wonder the lawyer hasn't called you back Jo. You keep threatening legal action but it's an empty threat. You will never sue Cook or anyone else. That's a good thing actually. It would be a huge waste of your meager funds. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  19. Jo, You may disagree with someone using Tina's picture as an avatar but it is highly unlikely that it harms Tina. She doesn't hang out in the Cooper Vortex. Let it be. Being a morality cop in this forum is the ultimate exercise in futility. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

  21. Jo wrote Jo, The FBI won't be interested in looking at a disjointed account of places Duane has been and people he knew. To get the FBI's attention you will need to produce solid UNEQUIVOCAL evidence that connects Duane with Norjack. There are other ways you could look at the last 18 years other than "a waste". This case has been a passion for you. Many older people have nothing in their lives that they are passionate about and truly waste their time mindlessly watching TV etc. You have been busy, involved and your passion connects you with many people. Many of your cohorts would envy you. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  22. I agree with Blevins who briefly posted (now it seems to have been deleted?) that skydiving isn't the most dangerous extreme sport. Skydiving with a reserve gives you a second chance. Rock climbing does not offer the same second chance if your primary gear fails. Snowmman is a climber. His ice climbing photos are scary to look at. He even did night ice climbing. Not my cup of tea. Cold, dark, slippery and no plan B. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  23. Made a couple of jumps today from 14,000 ft. Beautiful views of the entire SF Bay system and the Sacramento River Delta. Good times. Happy landings. Fooled around with live air to ground video using 5.8 GHz gear designed for amateur RC drones. Got some good scenery but reception popped in and out. Gotta iron out some antenna bugs. The young hot shot swoopers were doing their thing. Cheating death by inches. Scary to watch some of the more extreme ones. One of them got hauled off in a medivac copter a few weeks ago. He lived but busted some bones. Low hook turn. Sigh. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  24. What a cool photo. D Day re-enactment? See C47s with invasion Stripes. Thanks for posting it. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  25. Bruce wrote As a young boy I was easily amused. I once rode a roller coaster 12 times in immediate succession. The last ride was as good as the first. Skydiving is like that for me. I don't get jaded or acclimated the way others apparently do. That serves me well as far as skydive safety goes. I don't have to increase the risk to compensate for declining thrill. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
