I don't have an answer on the AZ dropzone. I just wanted to say your English is good. Reading your post I just figured you were an American living in Italy.

Sorry, don't have a digital photo and no equipment to make one either, but for the guy that said no, he's not 10, rest assured, I'm nearly 30 and I still look like I'm 16. Sux.

So what you're really trying to say is you've got a rotting corpse in your ear..

I'm guessing that would be as in Monterey, California? If so then I would bet there'll be lots of friendly Hi's floating around to lots of different people since DLI is in the same city. Lots of shaved head dudes everywhere, hehe. g/l on your AFF. I've been trying to get my first started but hurricanes don't seem to care whether I get to jump or not.

Likewise. I did SCUBA first, but skydiving is so much more fun. Can only afford one or the other, so I guess I'm stuck with 2 mins of fun rather than 30-60 mins. Hmmm just doesn't seem fair.

Welcome, and do you get notified everytime a newbie posts or something Skymama? Seems like u always have the 2nd post for our threads.

Yeah I see nothing wrong with this. If you can't afford to pay for it, there are other free alternatives that while not quite as user friendly, are better than being forced back to DOS.

I'm a big fan of adding tabasco sauce to anything and everything I can find.

Only listing my own personal opinions/feelings here, so don't consider them fact. I have not yet done my first AFF (damn hurricanes), but I don't think I would have been able to do AFF without the tandems. I was too terrified just during the tandems and really needed them as a confidence builder. The very reason I did the tandem first was because I didn't think I could do the AFF. So my feelings are, chances are if you decided to start with a tandem (provided you knew you didn't have to), the tandem progression would probably be a good thing for you. -
At the risk of being pummeled on this one, most people don't speak the language that the original texts were written in and I believe I read somewhere that most versions were translated to some intermediate language before English. There's bound to be human error here.

Arguments for (or against) the existence of God
Morcyk replied to scottbre's topic in Speakers Corner
I was under the impression that many of the people and events did exist/occur, but some of the circumstances surrounding them were a bit off. Maybe I've just been reading bad information all these years... -
"Let them go naked for awhile, at least the kids"
Morcyk replied to mnealtx's topic in Speakers Corner
Does this mean we can expect to see lots less resistance when a new nudie bar pops up? Maybe Kerry isn't so bad.. -
Just curious, how did this affect your passenger? Are they still willing to try this again? Don't know if a cutaway on my tandem(s) would have scared me away or made me feel more into it knowing that we survived.

Arguments for (or against) the existence of God

Although I no longer follow Christianity, I would have to disagree on the tales being mere folk stories. Many of the stories and people in there have been proven to be true. It's just a history book with a mystical twist. I do agree with the selection of stories made by man though. Rather odd that a religion of "love", but mostly fear, puts so much stock into the power of man of his wife. Sounds like a bunch of bs to me. And no, I'm not a woman. -
Saw one about a month ago, but I may not remember everything that's supposed to be there, but I'm sure somebody will be able to fill in the blanks. Something about a No carb diet where CARB was expanded to these names... Cheney Ashcroft Rumsfield Bush

Actually the bible states that nobody, not even Christ knows the time when the end will occur. Those that claim to know are getting that information not by the words in the bible, but by their own twisted interpretations. Whether or not the date of the end falls in line with these interpretations neither proves nor disproves this religion.

That _23 pic was impressive. How'd she get up there without knocking it out of the ground, or at least damaging her vehicle? And how did she get up there moving slow enough that she was able to wedge herself right at the top of it?
-
Every generation has believed that the time of the end would be in their own lifetime, yet here we are. How many people stocked up for the end of the world in the year 1999, yet once again here we are. Nobody knows when, or if for that matter, it will happen. Don't dwell on when the end of the world is or you'll be watching your life pass you by in the meantime.

is it me or does peaceful jeffrey seem rather bitter in this thread?

Ahh my bad, never claimed to be articulate, hehe. I was led to believe agnostic was that you didn't necessarily follow any one religion. I don't recognize a name for god. I just believe that there is a god out there in some form. I don't believe all this could be here by chance. I've studied several religions, Hindu, Christianity, Islam, Sumerian (no idea what it was called), Witchcraft & Wicca (yes they're different), and Druidism. I believe bits and pieces of each, but not the whole bit. The funny part is, Many of them (Paganism excluded) have the practically the same creation story, flood story, etc. and there are a lot of rituals that span across all the above mentioned religions (including Paganism). Coincidence?

Voting only for the party, not for the person??
Morcyk replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
There was a reason I chose "no party affiliation" when I registered to vote. I really don't care which party they're from, only the type of person I believe they are. This sux. -
This is exactly why I am no longer a Methodist, but agnostic. I still believe in a God, but I refuse to act like a believe something that I don't just because a book that's been translated from language to language and interpreted a thousand different ways depending on your culture, says that it's right.

Is that possible?

That was unexpected. I thought this was gonna be one of those, I'm sorry but my paying job takes precedence posts. Once again, you rock.
