I weighed about 175 also, and at 40 jumps got a 188. Now at 1080 jumps, I alternate the 188 with a rig with a 168. I use the 188 for no wind hot days. But I am on old fart with no titanium and hope to keep it that way I think you should put several hundred jumps on the 188 then consider downsizing. "We saved your gear. My bad for not asking about exit weight etc. I do not push downsizing in general. I am still on the 188 I bought with 40 jumps. If this is all he can afford, oh well, I just don't feel he will be satisfied with 20+ year old gear and a F-111 especially if he has to pay for relining and mods. I think you would rapidly get dissatisfied with that rig and want something better and smaller in just a few jumps. I wouldn't waste my money on it. I would suggest budgeting a little more and looking for a ZP canopy in the 190-210 range. That should suit you for several hundred or more jumps. "We saved your gear. I agree with Bob Moore about Lost Prairie and Belize, but I love the view from Kapowsin - Mt Rainier, Olympics, Cascades, Hood Canal, Puget sound. Lost Prairie Boogie 2011 - July 23rd - August 1st

I was apprehensive about the changes and politics, but felt it was handled well, and thought the new camping area was great. Wayndo worked hard to get things in shape at the new location. I heard very little negativity about the changes. Fred was around and active in the boogie. We will be back, as will most of the Fort Washington crowd that camped with us. "We saved your gear. My first jump was also at 51, and I just did my 1000th at Lost Prairie at age 58. Just a few behind you

I started AFF at my home DZ which is seasonal, didn't make it through before we closed for winter, and wanted to finish and not wait til spring. I got my log and records and went to Lake Wales in FL and completed my AFF there. It was not a problem. They may go back and repeat a level if it has been awhile, and will undoubtedly give you a refresher. Try to get your log with instructors comments from where you started. "We saved your gear.
