  6. I totally believe in things like that, have they done any date analyzing or checked any missing reports from around the time that the child started seeing "her imaginary" friend. Call me a fruit case, but the paranormal does exist.

  13. In the approx 18 months Ive been jumping, skydiving has totally consumed my life. I am defintily not the same person I was in May of 03 when I started jumping. Heres what Im wondering: I grew up in central Florida minutes from Z-Hills, Lakewales, and about 1.5 hrs from Deland. However, i never knew that skydiving was something I could just go do. What I am wanting to pursue is somewhat of a DZ recruiting job, going to colleges, different businesses etc, and encouraging them to jump, (Yes I think it is that great, and everyone should do it at least once). I wasnt going to approach this half-assed either, I was going to get videos, facts and other important tid bits together and educate the non-jumping world and attempt to get more people interested in jumping. I was wanting some opinions from the board on weather or not, you think something like this could work? I have had people tell me several times in the past, that the excitement I feel as ajumper totally over flows me and it is very obvious that I am very passionate about skydiving.
  14. I too have expierenced "cloud rush" I was worthless for about the next week, I walked around in almost a daze like state, staring at the sky, thinking to myself and sometimes sharing with others that I had touched a cloud But the jump that really did it for me was my first sunset load, I pulled around 6000 and just coasted peacefully back to the DZ admiring the beauty of God's creation all around me...
  15. My first was a tandem, i chose that b/c I was still unsure of the whole skydiving thing...(ha silly me! Hindsight is 20/20) However, i still recommend to my friends that have never jumped before to go tandem the first time, my reason, b/c you are just along for the ride, no stresses of doing your TLO's or worrying about anything else that level 1 jumpers stress about. In my opinion, by doing a tandem first, it allows you to fall in love with the thrill and excitement first.
  16. Thanks for sharing ferret! I "heart" boobies too...oops...did I just say that out loud?!?!?!?

  19. Leave it to the sig other to bust my bubble!!!!I couldnt wait to get home & post about it. I admit, I was a bit freaked out, but I never panicked. I did exactly what has been drilled into my head through out my jumping life, never 2nd guessed it, just did it. I was a tad apprenhensive about getting back up there, but I did and it was an awesome jump! I am really stoked that I expierenced it, before I was "afraid of silver". Today it became my friend, a special thanks to everyone who was at zhills today, after I landed under my reserve, they were all congratulating me & making me feel alot better about what had just happened.
  20. ZHills is definitly a nice place to go, Ive only been out there a few times, but the people Ive met so far are great! Its a nice DZ, close to tampa and SkyVenture in Orlando is about 45 mins away.
  21. Just curious... Cutaway is my favorite, I love the adrenalin level the movie presents, among other things, since Ive been jumping I have seen alot of "BS" scenes, but its still a great movie!
