  1. we are going as "jack & rosie"...im sure some of ya'll will figure it out! Im so excite, this will be my first halloween dz party, and what a place to do it...Z-Hills!
  2. I m new to that DZ (made two jumps there so far)...Im wondering how many people that post here, jump there. Im looking to make some skyfriends in the area....I have one so far...Jmpnkramer...what a cool dude!
  3. Well said... I have particpated in alot of sports in my time, but none that come close to skydiving. In fact to me, as Im sure it is to others, Its a lifestyle. The friends and the friendships that are made among jumpes are some of the best Ive ever expierenced. In my short jumping life, I have been to 7 different DZ's, all of which were wonderful expierences. What I have found among skydivers & skydiving has forever changed my life for the better!
  4. in my opinion...which I could be way off..if this measure of discipline was taken, then Im guessing that this kid has probably been in trouble for this among other things too. It doesnt seem likely that this would have been a first offense kinda thing. All of thpublic schools here (primary & middle) have a basic dresscode, which I approve of. If the dad in this case is upset, he should have made sure his son was dressed approprately before going to school. And by being a very active parent myself, I have a hard time believing that this action would have been taken against a poor kid who could not afford better fitting clothes.
  5. Were you bored? How long did it take you to come up with that list? These are the ones Ive heard of: pussy, beaver, cunt, fur burger, cooch, cooter, punani, snatch, twat, box, poontang, flower, cat, catcher's mitt, muff, cock warmer, slice of heaven, cherry, tongue depressor, honey pot, twat, peach, kitty kat, poody tat, nookie, wookie, tackle box, cooter, private area, coochie pop, just to name a few.
  6. That weas a nice "in check" moment... You sound like a real sweet person, and those ladies were undoubtedly lucky to know you as well. Life is short, and very precious...thats why we need tolive it to the fullest everyday, and always tell those we love, daily how important they are too us!
  7. yes, this story is about me, and I want some advice...Please...When I went through AFF 2 years ago, I got the abridged version by the instructor who taught the ground part. It was over 2 nights between 11pm & 1 am. There are some things that I am very comfortable that I know, (emergency procedures for ex.) but there are other things such as canopy control and landing patterns that I am still unsure of. My 47 jumps have been at 7 different DZ's and I still feel like my head is in the clouds- pardon the pun. I have many dreams and aspirations when it comes to jumping & my future, but most of all I want to be safe. I have considered going thru another ground school, as a legitimate student during the day and a few people have sugessted Scott Miller's canopy School to me. I hate being unsure and constantly 2nd guessing what I do. Any advice that anyone might have for me would be great. (note: the actual jumping part of my AFF went to the book, & failed several levels and after much instruction and discussion with my JM's I graduated)..thanks in advance...
  8. Well... I didnt get it when pg w/ my daughter, but with both of my boys, it was definitly in full bloom by 2 months. One of my doctors said it was from the "extra testosterone" in your body...sounds legit, especially since it didnt happen with my daughter...
  9. as a new jumper, I find myslef always questioning or should I say analyzing my jumps, what I did, what could I have done better and so on...1 thing I have noticed is that, I am always calm in the air, with a calm thinking mind...I am only questioning this b/c I am normally a spaz... I am still getting used to the feelings and what not that a "skydiver" may expierence... I am not quite sure what I want out of this post...maybe those of you out there with years of expierence will know what I am saying...
  10. I know ya'll dont know me to well around here yet, but mine was too funny to not share.. "Dave out of their tree"
  11. That is just horrible! My prayes & thoughts to the family...
  12. Just wanted to say hello... I ve been jumping for 1 year, but due to family and work and the boring neccesities of life, I only have 35 jumps. I am excited to be able to chat with other skydivers and hopefully make friendships here. I live 20 minutes from Z-hills, been out there once in April. I would really like to hear from people in this area, so I can maybe find someone to jump with...
