  1. Here's a one-stop checklist for all your needs/questions/considerations: http://www.ourfamilyplace.com/homebuyer/checklist.html EDIT: Often overlooked - Window coverings can get expensive. Count the number of windows/sizes and then price Plantation blinds, drapes, etc. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  2. Received an email from Bill Newell asking me to post this to Dr. Eco's thread... He better show up at SkyFest for me doin this Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  3. And so my question for years has been - "If God is all knowing and all-seeing, then that includes the future, right?" I mean He did create the future. If that's the case, then didn't He know who would believe in Him and who wouldn't? Which begs the question, does He care if any one individual believes in Him or does He believe in the individual whether or not they believe in Him? You say you wish there were less "pseudo-christians," but isn't being a "pseudo-christian" one step closer to Christ than being agnostic or aethistic? A "pseudo-Christian" may not feel with their heart, but at least on an intellectual level believes in God. And, who decides the true believers from the psuedo-christians? Exactly how is that defined? I believe in God, I believe there was a Christ, but I do not believe that Christ was the son of God or God himself as much as I believe that he was _a_ son of God and an educator. I believe he was teaching us that we are all children of God. The sons and daughters of God. Each and all related just as it's defined in Genesis. Let's say as time goes on, we find out that Jesus truly was a man that had a family, who was buried and we find his and his families remains - traditional Christianity would be shattered. But, if Christ was an educator who believed in God, then believing in Christ will simply mean believing in one who showed us the way. And, if the Ten Commandments tells us, "You shall have no Gods before me" and Christ wasn't God, are all those worshipping Christ as their savior breaking the commandment? Let's take it a step further... wouldn't "any graven image, or any likeness..," if interpreted literally seem to forbid a wide range of objects, including a statue in a church, a cross, a crucifix, etc. I was a real PITA in Catholic School. I never understood why I got so many whippings for asking questions of those who asked me to seek. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  4. Now, I've had travel days where I got bounced for mechanical or weather reasons, but yesterday was the all time kick my ass travel day. Arrived at the Cleveland airport at 2:00PM for a flight CLE-CHI-TUL Desk agent stands on the scles and hollers to everyone if you're on a flight to Chicago after 6:00Pm - they've all been cancelled. Whew - I'm on the 4:00PM 4:00PM - flight is delayed until 9:30 cause there's only two active runways in Chicago due to winds and the sysem is backing up. (OK I can still make my connection). Sorry. It's changed to a 10:30 PM departure. - go see ticket agent cause now I miss my connection. Hang on sir, I'm transferring you to Delta-CLE-CIN-TUL - go see the Delta agent and I'll get your bag transferred. Go see Delta agent - sorry, we thought we had a seat for you, but I've got to transfer you to the CLE-DUL- ATL-TUL flight which leaves 8:30. Get on the flight (little 2 seat on either side mini jet). Fly to DUL sitting next to similair sized guy - we're fucked on any level of confort or movement. Head to ATL Arrive at ATL at 10:00 PM - have ten minutes to make connection - display says "Boarding now." RUN from Concourse C-D - fuck the tram I ain't got time. Get there as they're boarding - sweating profusely from a dead run. They stand up and say, flight's delayed an hour for "mechanical problems" - gotta love that announcement. OK - 11;30 PM - we're boarding. Backing from the gate, Pilot says, we're going to be in-flight 2 1/2 hours (150 MPH head wind and it's going to be really bumpy). Same kinda plane and sit next to a woman about my size - bonus. Manage to curl up in the window and nod for a bit - then the bumps the pilot promised became a roller coaster ride for about an hour. Girl next to me looks green and I'm waiting of rthe puke fest to begin... cause ya knows - once one starts, it's a chain reaction from the smell - but God bless her, she hangs on until the roller coaster stops and the Flight Attendant brings her some Sprite to calm her stomach. Land in TUL at 2:00 AM - last flight in. Am stunned that my checked baggage arrives (after getting bounced threee times thought it was going to be a lost cause). Get to the house at 2:30 AM + one hour time differential = 13 1/2 hours and half a continent of travel. Irony: Drive from CLE to TUL is 13 1/2 hours Go coma on the couch for 6 hours and now I'm gonna go make a jump. Have a good day. Your worst travel day? 6. I own a Wings, Vector and Icon and have Safire2's, Pilots and PD Mains. Precision, PD and Smart reserves. No matter which configuration you choose, it will be a long-lasting romance. Sounds like the only true variable in your decison making process is the SkyHook of which I am a strong proponent. The botton line is - it ain't about the rigs man, it really boils down to colors. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  9. Yes, I was being sarcastic. You took the exception and made it sound like the media's persepctive of that being the rule. Truth is, a lot of us have danced with the cumulous clouds and "use" them for more hang time. Some of us have "inadvertantly" punched through a cumu while in freefall. Find thermals have fun. Find the updrafts and play with them. But one instance of a single skydiver does not warrant that much concern. I'm more concerned with tracking at the end of every dive than a cumu any day. 13. Oh dear God. Ya pisses off a Ranger - it's a fight. Ya pisses off the momma of the Ranger's children... Well, let's just say I'm sending out {{{Vibes}}}... for them. This is gonna hurt. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  17. A Tandem Master gets their rating from the manufacturer and is limited to hauling tandem passengers on a first or subsequent freefall dives (Mule). A Tandem Instructor has the Tandem Master rating from the manufacturer + goes through the USPA Tandem Instructor Course rating for addiitonal teaching priviledges within the ISP program. 19. Actually, it's not the one's who ask where the restroom is when there is a sign... It's the one's who ask where the restroom is - and when you show them the sign; want to argue with you that there is no restroom there. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  20. You should do some checking. It's been awhile since I worked in a class section, but there was a protocol regarding any single person having sole access to classified materials. At the very least, you should fomarlize your understanding of the new situation to your Senior (who did it by phone call?) in writing as a CYA while you do your homework on the requiremsnts. I could be wrong, but sumpin's just doesn't sound right here... Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  23. 1. Could it be the MLW was improperly sized (who took your measurements)? 2. Could it be the laterals are too short? 3. When you say across the shoulders, do you mean it digs into your shoulders when you roll forward or too narrow between the shoulders? 4. How much are you tightening down your leg straps? Things to go over with your Instructors/rigger. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  24. You would be better off putting this in your DB Cooper thread to keep the chain going. If you put information/requests in varying threads, you'll get hit or miss results. My suggestion is to post this request here: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2540834;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;guest=33957296 Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
