OH Bullshit. Don't listen to them for they know not what they speaketh. Hi Guys!! It's a great canopy. It'll last you to a thousand jumps - no problem. You'll learn how to spot. You'll learn where the outs are and how to take the outs instead of try to make it back to the DZ at any & all costs. Once you find the flare point for the varying wind speeds, you'll dial it in so well that you'll have more tippy toe landings on this canopy than a ZP. A WORD OF CAUTION: Type of line is very important on this. If it's dacron lines, more than likely you may need a new lineset for no other reason than to lower the pack volume to get it in the pack tray. Two of my favorite F111 canopies have been the PD 9 cell and the Falcon. Now, after all that.. if you can find a zp canopy at 1:1; you'd be better off on duration and resale. You CANNOT get the flu from the flu shot. It still astounds me how many people think this. During the 76-77 Swine flu outbreak; the Army made everyone in Germany get one (It originated at Ft. Dix). I got the swine flu shot and subsequently got the Swine flu. The swine flu shot was a live virus. I have refused the flu shot ever since. And, while things have changed considerably even as early as yesterday, [based on the Swine incident] my VA doc said, "I can't tell you to get it." The are two problems with your mitigation approach: 1. Mitigation money has to be derived at the local level. Why do that when its easier to not do anything, wait to see if it makes landfall, then declare, then ask for a FedDec of 85% and let the federal government pay for it. (I'll delve more into this later) 2. How would Billy Nungesser get to thump his chest and tell the good folks of Plaquemines Parish how he got the federal government to take care of his people. Well, you've shown good judgment in taking 2 hours of tunnel time to learn how to fly better than most at 40 jumps. May I suggest employing the same judgement by taking a Canopy Skills course on your existing canopy. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
