  1. You are entitled to your opinion, but you do disgust me. I love A cups. percentage of men who prefer big breasts: 18% percentage of men who prefer small breasts: 7% percentage of men who prefer breasts: 75% (90% of all statistics are made up on the spot)

    Bush to Taliban:

All your Al Qaeda are belong to us
  4. I find your lack of faith... distubring.
  5. I agree with you that we've got to do something about it, but you are falling into the trap of thinking that defeating them will be like defeating another traditional state. There are no major cities. And these guys didn't need a militarty base to do what they did to us. The Taliban is not a central government, they are just the dominant warlord tribe. Their leader is in hiding most of the time! The Northern Alliance is our only hope, however what do we do once they are control and begin harboring terrorists themselves?
  6. Gotta take issue with this. Carter was pretty boring. He was a little too human for the job and a little too intellectual. Got us into that really sticky hostage situation.. Not to mention a ridiculous situation in the economy. Now Reagan yeah, he had all the charisma and had most people scared he was going to press the button any minute, but Bush Sr. was on the boring side and got us into the closest thing to a full scale war since 'nam.
  7. A good article. I'm glad it is being distributed. Some things, I find the Taliban to resemble the Khmer Rouge far more than the Nazis. I also doubt that the Afghani people would welcome with open arms a foreign army that came in to liberate them from the evil Taliban. I suspect it would end up as a vietnam situation where the locals would be turned against the soldiers supposedly there to help (I know the reality of vietnam was more complex than that, but the 19 yr olds in uniform were told they were there to help and were shocked that the south vietnamese didn't support them very much) It would strengthen the Taliban's hold because they would be able to "prove" everything they have been saying about the west, that it aims to destroy Afghanistan and Islam. These are fierce fighters when their homeland is threatened. The best hope is to work with the so called Northern Alliance who are themselves Afghanis, but say we do bolster them enough to overthrow the Taliban.. then we will be left with another monster of our own creation. And the terrorist network is fanatical, galvanized and worldwide. Israel and the PLO laying down arms is a surprising and positive step.
  8. There's a belgian guy who has been making plans to open a drop zone of sorts in Pattaya. I have his email address somewhere but I'm going to have to search for it. Jumping in Asia is inconvenient and erratic (and can be expensive). We do have semi regular jumping in Lido Lakes outside of Jakarta. Malaysia also has a jumping community. There's nothing like a "drop zone" in the sense you are used to. As in a permanent facility with fixed operations. It is more like a number of different factors that allow for skydiving when they are all aligned.
  9. Our skydiving planes are indeed easy targets for hijacking. We routinely jump carrying concealed weapons in our trousers and we fill the plane with deadly explosive methane gas.
  10. It's really funny how extremists of any viewpoint hardly differ from each other. I actually find this refreshing because this is the end of those clowns ever pretending to represent mainstream american thought. Just as the Taliban are doing, they are marginalizing themselves and uniting the world against them. So some positive likely outcomes from this tragedy - the end of religious christian extremism having a voice. - the end of the drug war (can't fund it and the war on terrorism at the same time) - some unity between whites and blacks in America. (This is my personal hope) Obviously the negatives outweigh it but I'll be like Bing Crosby today and "accentuate the positive" Clearly the price of freedom is not just eternal vigilance.. it is also increased airfare.

  13. I used to use one of the largest ones I could find. It has a cordura exterior and wheels and a handle for rolling. When I had a J3 it fit in there quite comfortably, in the gearbag that also contained three jumpsuits your basic packing accessories. I would also put in My helmet bag and a pair of shoes and there was room to spare. It could have easily fit two small rigs. Recently I've moved to one of those more compact looking "US POLO" style knockoffs. They are not very expensive here in singapore, but I went out of my way to buy one of the more sturdy ones. It fits the rig & gearbag, with helmet and shoes, but it's a tight fit. The main problem you'll have with two rigs is that you will exceeed your weight limit. I had that problem when I was going to europe. I asked about the exemption for sports equipment but that doesn't apply if it's packed away (safely) inside luggage. Probably the best bet, as always, is to be courteous, communicative and prepared. After booking your ticket, contact the airline well in advance. Tell them you are an active skydiver, give them your license number and credentials. You will be traveling to an event and bringing two parachutes. Ask them to approve what you are doing. Ask them to fax you a letter to that effect. Take names and credentials of everyone you talk to. Verify with their supervisors. If security gives you problems, politely request to speak to the pilot and explain the situation. Make them aware that you understand their motivations and you are taking steps to identify yourself as a non-threat. Yes it will be inconvenient, but it can be worked out.
  14. You can't imagine it? I seem to recall quite a bit of it in the US during the gulf war. Celebrating the tragedies of your enemy is a very human tendency.
  15. I'll just chime in and point out that this goes against everything America stands for. America's strength is its diversity. Arab immigrants included. They are going to be going through a really difficult time in the next few years especially with people like you around. This crime was perpetrated by evil inhuman bastards. That they happen to have a certain skin color or claim allegiance to a certain faith is irrelevant. And remember, there are white folks and christians that are far worse.

    Jihad

Try to keep in mind that this is not mainstream Islamic thought or teachings. You could get a pretty ugly picture of christianity from www.godhatesfags.com or probably hundreds of other websites that I don't care to read. I have friends and even a girlfriend of muslim faith. Their morality is pure and runs deeper in many cases than most westerners. They believe in a merciful, loving god and are generous, honest people. I'm not religious myself, but I'm in favor of any belief system that helps you to live like a decent person. And to put things in perspective, it was the west and their crusades who originally waged holy war on the nation of Islam to free the holy land (jerusalem) from the clutches of heathens. Giving the jews Israel was just a buffer so that they could fight the muslims for a while. This situation would exist regardless of US policies towards Israel. Lets say Hitler succeeded in eradicating the Jews. Would it be acceptable to christian extremists to have Muslims occupying the land of Christ? I think not.
  17. Generally a good cautionary tale here, but you should know that you in no way made a bad situation better by doing this. You made it MUCH worse. What if your standup guy was actually good enough to try and catch you, you just decided to go super fast without seeing him and when you went flat you could have corked right into him and killed the both of you. I could iterate lots of other scenarios, but I just want to call into question the judgement that says, I'm low on a freefly formation with limited skills, I can't see any of them in my current orientation, so I will just remain in this orientation and go faster. The safe(r) thing to do would have been to go head up without corking, find SOMEONE in the sky and try to fly relative to them (even if you can't get close, at least you know where they are) then see if you can locate the others on the dive. Each one you find is one less random variable that could kill you. Then at least at break off you'd have time to figure out where everyone is tracking and get away from them. Of course the safest thing to do would be to not be on that dive in the first place. I fully realize that you've learned that lesson. I'm only pointing to your decisions in the air. It's these "make a bad situation worse" kind of mental processes that kill people because rarely is it only one thing that goes wrong in a fatality.
  18. Sorry, for assuming you'd be able to figure out how to format the cells to contain time values.
  19. One forum is enough, Dave. Actually in this case it was too much.
  20. You know, excel and any other decent spreadsheet can do time calculations? Makes a halfway decent online log book as well.
  21. complete bullshit. Diamonds have one of the highest melting points of any substance. In fact firemen have been known to seek the diamonds in the wreckage of a housefire - as the insurance has already covered them. What if I pee all over your other piercings then? As pointed out before, a molecule is what makes something a substance. So everything is "one molecule apart", otherwise they'd be the same thing. I don't know about #1, but given your track record I doubt it as well. Damn, boy... you ignint!

    Virus

Forget "unknown sender" You are more likely to receive a virus from someone you know. Just as you are more likely to be shot by someone you know. Best bet is to not open anything.
