Of course they have. Please tell me what Iraq did to us that was on par with Pearl Harbor. Blues, Dave They must have talked Saudi into sending the majority of the troops over to the US to commit 9/11 atrocities. Wait, but Saudi is our ally? W/E.....
-
Of course they do. They can say whatever they want. Doesn't take away from the fact they're a bunch of whining twats. Sphincter says what?

Well, just wait 'til you've been around a bit longer. I've just seen more of the slippery slope than you have, Right, most of us were conservatives at one point until we realized the crock of crap that was being fed to us.
-
"Sure did. Before around 1977 I was very conservative. It was Ronald Reagan's brand of intrusive conservatism that turned me off." AKA Fascism "BTW, I do not consider the Bush administration to be at all conservative. They are pro big government, deficits, and pro intrusion into the peoples' lives." I would call them fiscal conservatives..... or Nazis

I know what you mean, but I am not saying "FORCING" anything, however, if the Governer is Christian and wishes to put up a Chrismas tree on the Lawn of the Governer's Mansion, then so be it. Is it State Property? Yes, but he is entitled to his "Consious Beliefs" as per the Constitution and the Supreme Court. Therefore, he is not "Coersing the public" but instead freely expressing his beliefs at his residence during his time serving office. The same is true for a Jew, Muslim, and Satan worshiper. Now, I doubt a Satan WOrshiper will be elected, but if so, they too should enjoy the rights of their free and open expression. Chris What you fail to recognize is that a public official is still part of the public domain. With that there are bounds in that we don't get to have a bedroom cam, but we also don't have to look at their personal beliefs either. Look, you are offended by people that propose to eliminate all religious symbolism and I am offended by the thought of anyone that wants my tax dollars to be spent on religious symbolism or the property that it hangs upon. The US Const makes it clear that there will be no religion that is favored or sponsored by the governement, and you are trying to find a crack whee this can be violated. If you think a Governor is not part of the government/state, then you'll be surprised to know that a cop is the government while on duty. The 4th includes a cop as part of teh government in virtually all of its 4th type decisions where a search/seizure issue is at stake. Sorry, the governor's lawn is the government. Looks like we will have more bloodshed over that little symbol that supposedly represents love and peace... color me shocked

U.S. army deserter seeking refugee status in Canada
EBSB52 replied to IanHarrop's topic in Speakers Corner
That's probably what would have happened to him 50 years ago. I think he should at least spend a lot of his life in jail breaking big rocks into little ones. Actually go about 100 years ago and that was the last time a desserter was killed. -

I'm really quite curious what you think the consequences would be? Typical American response as if we're going to go kill them all. -

EBSB52 replied to IanHarrop's topic in Speakers Corner
Don't worry Anvil, Canada is smarter than that... They won't let him stay!!!! They know the cosequences of that if they do grant the refuge status.... There are 3 people in question. One of them will be allowed to stay, but his case is different.... He is a duel citizen of the US and Canada. Canadian law says he can stay since he is a citizen of the country. Cananda won't return criminal refugees if they are subject to capital punishment. So where is your, "cosequences" rambling now? -
It's just blind nationalism, which usually comes from lack of education.

You need to move out of this COUNTRY!!!! Your attitude makes me Fucking Sick I agree, all of the people who are into liberation of people should move out - all of the Nazis stay here, and let this mass division tear this country down until it's safe to come back. See, even if all the non-maggots left, there would be different criteria in which to divide and further hate would breed. This is how the Nazi Party worked, and this is how the US works.
-
Don't you know that ALL attacks on the part of foreign countries are initial attacks, and ALL attacks on the part of the US are retaliatory attacks? Come on, read the paper more often....... (sarcasm)

Hi I think the person your responding to is exercising his right to free speech. Your response is similar to the phrase used against the anti war protestors in the 60's "America Love it or leave it" Us Old farts remember that stuff Can't we just agree that we disagree and leave it at that. This isn't your country it's our country who are you to suggest to someone they leave their country because they don't agree with your belief's. USAF 66-70 R.I.P. Thanks.....

I plan on it. Once I get thru school I plan on going to Europe somewhere and check it out. Also, where did I state I hate the military? Where did I state I hate the country? That still doesn't address the issue, but as usual you duck the issues....like me to paste an address or 2 as examples?

Yep, never hear me say a bad word about the troops. I wouldn't even say anything bad about a person if we instituted an official draft, in addition to this backdoor draft, and that person ran off to Canada. But this administration is the worst maybe of all times under Bush. And if the election was not tampered with, as it appears, then the indictment rolls over to the American people. We can no longer blame Bush and Nazi friends, he didn't misrepresent himself.
-
Lie by omission. If you screw around on your wife and don't tell her, have you lied? If not, then why do you feel so guilty? Call it betrayal, but you have a piece of info that she would want to know, and you not telling her is a lie by omission. It contrasts a lie by commision.

If you have 100k plus the 182's, prolly worth another 100k, then 200k won't buy ya crap. Obviously a PAC750 is the dream machine and I think they want 200k down, so that might be the way to go. You won't have maint for 2 or 3 years, so go for it.

So since you admit that the government will kill innocent people, can you somehow justify the killing of innocent people for some greater good? BTW, utilitarianism (most good for the most people) is paralleled with hedonism (most pleasure / least pain), which are not Christian principles as most pro-deathers are. As well, utilitarianism is also an, "ends justify the means" proposition as well; is that the form of logic you want to use when deciding it's ok to kill innocent people? Basically you are arguing that as long as Bundy is executed in the end, it's worth it for an occasional Ray Krone to be murdered by the state. Your whole concept of the whole rather than the individual is so anti-Constitution that I hope I don’t read you rambling about the US Constitution in other threads. The US Const is supposed to protect the individual from governmental tyranny. "First, it is a relatively simple ethical system to apply. To determine whether an action is moral you merely have to calculate the good and bad consequences that will result from a particular action. If the good outweighs the bad, then the action is moral." This exemplifies the simplistic American neo-con. IOW's, if you have to take off your shoes to count to 20, you might very well be a neo-con. "Second, utilitarianism avoids the need to appeal to divine revelation. Many adherents to this ethical system are looking for a way to live a moral life apart from the Bible and a belief in God. The system replaces revelation with reason. Logic rather than an adherence to biblical principles guides the ethical decision-making of a utilitarian." This is where the American neo-con creates the paradox. Utilitarianism and Hedonism are so anti-Christian, yet the Christian neo-con follows right along with the American fiscal conservative w/o even realizing he's just been sucked in by the devil. If this is you, look above and count to 20. "There are also a number of problems with utilitarianism. One problem with utilitarianism is that it leads to an "end justifies the means" mentality. If any worthwhile end can justify the means to attain it, a true ethical foundation is lost. But we all know that the end does not justify the means. If that were so, then Hitler could justify the Holocaust because the end was to purify the human race. Stalin could justify his slaughter of millions because he was trying to achieve a communist utopia." I'm ahead of myself! Again, it's ok to kill Ray Krone because we need to kill Bundy. http://www.probe.org/docs/utilitarianism.html Look at the author - he is some guy from a Christian foundation. Truth is, utilitarianism is not a Christian function, not that I'm defending Christianity at all, but using this logic to apply to capital punishment in a hybrid of Old Testament Christianity and Utilitarianism. Finally, when you buy into your ends justify means philosophy you accept the same logic that Stalin did when he committed his atrocities to his people. http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/End+justifies+the+means See, what I'm saying here is the approach you have given is wrong in so many ways, a few of which are: 1. It is unconstitutional in spirit in that it ignores the rights of the individual 2. It parallels itself with Communistic ideals 3. It praises utilitarianism as a means to govern a country 4. Admitting that, "Perfection is an impossibility" is an admission that you condone the murder of innocent people, when you probably claim cap pun is a deterrent designed to reduce the number of murders; can you see the contradiction?

"I, also, have several piles of dogshit that bears an uncanny likeness of Jerry Falwell." He's missing, that may not be a likeness "...absolutely free of cost to you a dead weasel I found on the road the other day that is the splitting image of GW Bush." Weasel...Bush... that might be the real deal - better call the White House. As for tything, it comes i many forms. It seems the more you give, the more you care is the theme. It is a joke.... how do I cash in

Depends on where you live. In Texas that is perfectly legal. You have the legal right to protect with lethal force your life AND your property in Texas. I think that's presumptuous to lay a blanket accross all situations. Obviously you have a better chance of no charge/acquital in Texas, but I wouldn't make a blanket statement.

"I ought to get a job as a lawyer playing these word games... " "Lets say someone a felon - is in possesion of a gun... that may be his only current crime. If he is locked up -..." That depends upon what the definition of, "is" is
-
I agree with your last sentence. The way to combat crime is to lock the criminals up. But then the bleeding hearts whine about how many people are in prison... Tough! In Chicago, where guns must be registered and a gun owner's license must be obtained, there are cases where the police are going to the homes of people whose licenses have expired, to confiscate their now "illegal" guns. This is wrong, IMO, and is representative of what I'm talking about. Just because a license expires, shouldn't make you subject to arrest and property confiscation. It's a mere technical thing, where no crime against any other person or their property has been comitted. The State creates these "crimes", with their onerous paperwork laws. "But then the bleeding hearts whine about how many people are in prison... Tough!" What if these are innocent people? We have well over 2 million people in prisons run by corporations that profit from essentially slave labor. There is a big problem here. As an American your odds are 1:146 of being locked up. Since virtually all prisoners are men, that makes the numbers of being an American male incarcerated at 1:85 or so. "We should lock people up for actual crimes against people or property, like assault or burglary." There are 2 categories crimes: Violent and property. "However, we should not create new crimes, such as those of a technical paperwork nature, where some law-abiding person goes to prison for mere possession of a gun, when he hasn't used that gun in some other crime." Huh, WTF does this mean????? Are you trying to eliminate the category of white-collar crime? White collar-criminals, such as bankers or AZ Gov Symington, or the good folks at Enron are worse than all the Ted Bundy's put together. I'm not sure if you're saying to excuse them or not. "Imagine the police confiscating your automobile, simply because you were a little late renewing your registration..." No, cops only confiscate cars under RICO when a guy is picking up a whore or a bag of dope. That's due to our conservative agenda back in the 80's with Fascist Reagan and his war on drugs. Speaking of which, about 1/2 the people incarcerated are there because of drug related crimes. As much as I despise drugs I despise this more. Didn't we learn anything about prohibition of alcohol? "In Chicago, where guns must be registered and a gun owner's license must be obtained, there are cases where the police are going to the homes of people whose licenses have expired, to confiscate their now "illegal" guns. " Wow, it's here. I was unaware that states other than Cali were there yet. Ya, that sucks. As I've said before, personal gun ownership is not US Constitutionally protected. The writing is so vague in the 2nd that it could easily be interpreted that a state-run militia be one that controls the weapons, which could mean close control and registration or even checking them in and out.
