Patty and I spent last week in Jackson Hole, WY. hiking, chilling and taking it easy. However I did get to go paragliding one morning with Scott and Matt from Jackson Hole Paragliding. We rode the ski lift up right behind the Snake River Lodge where we we're staying and then hiked up the ski slope near the top of the mountain. Laid out the canopy, hooked up the risers and then ran like hell for about 25 yards and launched down the slope. We flew around the mountains and ski slopes for about 20 minutes and then landed in a grass field right by the lodge parking lot. It was awesome! If you've ever near Jackson Hole give Scott or Matt a call and give it a try. They both are also skydivers, BASE jumpers and are really cool and laid back. If you have a parachute bag that will hold your rig and the unpacked canopy I would recommend bringing it with you so they can put it in the van to take to the beach. Most of the time people put there rigs in trash bags after they land and with 15-30 black trash bags laying around it might get swapped. Also it could end up getting tossed in a dumpster which has happened in the past. Make sure you have a tag with your name on your bag.
