I just got out of the emergency room an hour ago. I was doing a shredder this morning with Danielle and Robert and I had a very hard opening and I thought I had broke my collar bone and some ribs on my left side. It opened so hard I saw stars and it broke the rightside steering line and I had to fly and land on the rear risers. The only problem came when I was downwind and trying to turn base my left arm collapsed with pain and I had to pull the left riser with my right arm. I finally got on final and when I tried to flare, I couldn't pull with my left arm and I tried to PLF it but I apparently was still pulling down on the right riser trying to flare and I piled it in. X-rays showed no permanent injuries or breaks but I do have some torn muscles in my upper left chest and neck and a canopy that needs to be re-lined. Oh well it could have been worse. I've got some great painpills and I am going to turn on some Crystal Method and Pink Floyd and enjoying the evening. Hey Chris, Hope you are enjoying your "roadtrip". I really enjoyed jumping and partying with you, EJ and Ricardo in Chester. We had a blast on the "3 ways from hell!" For putting on one hell of a great boogie. You guys and gals are the best.. My newparents PePe and Delfina worked there butts off to make sure everyone had agreat time. From the excellent Margarita machine to the awesome Tequila dispenser to the hilarious videos on Sat. n ight it was 1st class. I would also like to thank the wonderful staff in registration and manifest for keeping everything runing fast and smooth. The raft dive itself was cool but you should have seen them dirt diving that thing. It was hilarious. I've got it on DVD (dirt dive, launch and the whole flight) but the file is too large to download to DZ.com. Turtlespeed did the video and it is choice.
