I didn't question your swoop ability Chuck.. You have to admit that for a non-swoop god to learn something with a longer recovery arc is safer. Sure anything can be swooped by the right pilot. Now days we have canopies that are MADE to swoop as you know.. You are jumping one yourself. It is a HUGE advantage to have the benefit of 1000 feet to work with instead of 100. You guys invented swooping. Thank you. You put yourself at more risk than current jumpers have to with canopies that are made to swoop.. Don't you agree? Sometimes the Manufacturers as we know have an inflated EGO about how their gear SHOULD perform. It isn't always the case. And I don't specifically remember Aerodyne saying don't roll the nose on the Triathlon.. They may have said you don't have to roll the nose. Blue Skies and Smooth Rides!! http://www.aahit.com

Learning to fly a large canopy aggressively and learning to swoop a fairly large canopy are two different things. I had NO BUSINESS AT ALL trying to learn to swoop on my Triathlon150 at 1.25. NONE. Hook is right on this one as usual. You need the longer recovery arc. How can anyone in here POSSIBLY argue with him? HOW? If I want to learn how to make money I associate and learn from a person that is in the position I want to be in. I don't see how swooping is any different. Hook KNOWS what he is talking about. I have yet to see ANYONE including Mullins that can outfly him? I for one take his word on swooping progression as the law that needs to be followed. His mind set is WAAAYY to advanced not to listen. When he talks to me about the mindset and the mechanics behind swooping I SHUT MY MOUTH and OPEN MY EARS. Learn from him.. Skybitch this wasn't at you just in general to the post. Maybe your Tri has an attitude.. Rolling the nose WILL NOT cause you to get spanked.. It delays the opening of the canopy not speed it up. The ONE time I was spanked a packer packed it. Blue Skies and Smooth Rides!! http://www.aahit.com

WROOOONG!!!!! I rolled the nose 150 times on my Triathlon. It's almost necessary. I don't mean a little roll. I mean ALL THE WAY. the 3 right cells and the 3 left cells ALL THE WAY IN.. Leave the center cell just folded over. Then give it a decent stuff watching the lined and making sure they stay centered. If I didn't roll the nose on my Triathlon150 I was asking to have a relatively frisky and brisk opening. 1. Roll the nose. 2. stuff it about 1/3 of the way in 3. double wrap your rubber bands. If you so these 3 things you should have nice openings with the Triathlon. With my Diablo110 I did not roll the nose. Rhino Blue Skies and Smooth Rides!! http://www.aahit.com

There are 3 major steps in skydiving.. 1.. Your first jump "definitely an accomplishment" 2.. Getting through certification and becoming a certified skydiver "welcome to the club, how sweet it is!!" 3.. Getting your own rig. Now it's cheap to jump and you don't have to rent gear!! You have arrived!! Don't give up on yourself... If you want to get certified then do it.. Quit onzie and twozieing it.. Study, learn and Just Do It!! I had one really hard opening on my Triathlon.. Don't know why.. After that I double wrapped all the rubberbands and the openings got even softer and more consistant. Blue Skies and Smooth Rides!! http://www.aahit.com
