Well said Skymama.. Oops.. I'm suppose to be out of this thread.. lol Rhino Thank you God. I am about to get my son for a week straight and half the summer. And the little one could be born any day now. God, please bless those that aren't saved anyways. I ask that you give them THEIR proof the same ways you have given me mine. I love you father. Thank you for this day, my health, the new job I am about to get, my beautiful wife, the roof over my head, my families health. I ask that you watch over my fellow skydivers and help them return to their loved ones jump after jump. Amen

I'm against BSR. 390 jumps so far. 1.95 150+ on current canopy. 50+ on a Diablo110 at 1.7 before that. I LOVE my canopy. But some call me NUTS!!

I don't agree... Anyone can fall through the air in freefall. Everyone has to land a canopy. It is the hardest part of skydiving. There is nothing at all embarrasing about it. It should simply be showing that more focus should be put on canopy flight instead of back flips and front flips and barrell rolls all of which I haven't had to do since AFF. But landing a canopy is something I do on every jump.

Not so.. Proof to you might not be proof to me my friend. Proof has brought me to faith. God doesn't have to prove himself to me but he has. On many occasions. Those occasions were between him and I. As far as being saved... Proof that if you aren't going to be let into heaven if you aren't saved. It is in the bible. I ragard the bible as the truth, God's word. If it is there it is. Simple. Faith is something I had to learn through experience through what I would call proof. Take your chances. If you don't want to believe that is totally up to you. You had better hope you are right.

I have faith that my child will be born any day now.. Why because I can see my wife pregnant right? The same way I can see my wife pregnant I can see things that only God could make happen every day. In my life. The actions I see and the prayers I see answered in my life are no different than the baby growing inside my wifes whomb that I know is there. No different. I can see his actions as I can see my baby at this moment growing inside my wife. The same way that HAS TO BE A BABY. I can clearly see that THAT HAS TO BE GOD AT WORK. Faith.. Rhino

Unprovable to who? you? It has been proven to me on many occasions. The fact that God exists has been proven to me on many occasions. I use to feel the exact same way you do. I literally had to grow up myself and do research, open my mind and start paying attention to the things that were happening around me. Do you think God feels the NEED to prove himself to you? No. Part of the reward for having faith and being saved is spending eternity with him in heaven. But we can agree to disagree. Rhino

Free will.. Yep.. You are right.. We are in control.. But we can also ask God for help. If you don't ask he will never give it to you. Sometimes he does andsometimes he doesn't.. But that is my take.

He is in a better place my friend.. Follow his lead "good God fearing, churching going people" and you will see him again when your day comes... My grandfather was one of my best friends in life. He died of lung cancer. My grandmother whom I loved very much wasn't far behind him. I am not sure if either of them were of faith or not? Saved? I cry thinking about it. Had I been saved then I could have possibly saved them "shown them the way at least" if they weren't already. I hope they both went to heaven so I can see them again when I go.

jlmiracle, jfields, I feel sorrow for you feeling the way you do. I remember when I felt the same way. It was such a lonely feeling. I'm sorry about your father. . I can only imagine. I think about my own father passing some day and it makes me cry just thinking about it. I am so very sorry for your loss. He must have been a great person for you to hurt so much. We are all children of God.. You can cry to him any time you want. He is allways there for you. Rhino

Roll the hell out of the nose do a 3 second delay. Insure it is sub terminal. Have the pilot really slow it down if it is a cessna. Reach up and grab the risers and support some of your weight. This is all up to you of course. I have lower back pain myself and I frequently use this method. Rhino

Go do some sub terminal hop-n-pops from altitude. They are easier openings and you get to really experience the beauty of what you are doing.
