  1. I agree with you Andy.. If the old folks Taxi bill went to Uncle Sam then Uncle Sam would be FORCED to revamp public transportation wouldn't he
  2. Problem area circled.. Air flow is arrows.. Squiggly line is the air in question. THAT IS A SPEEDBRAKE. Seems to be to me anyways? The Xaos nose is cleaner it seems to me. Some portions of the nose being completely closed off. Rhino
  3. I know it looks that way. But those inlets being closed still act as a speed brake don't they? I mean air can't get in right? The nose isn't fully formed? Rhino
  4. I know what you mean.. But it should be free if they are deemed unfit. They have a right to a life.
  5. WRONG!! Not descrimination.. Public safety. Why wait until 65 for us to get Social Security? Are we young people being descriminated against? lol Rhino
  6. YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!! At age 65 it should be YEARLY. Too many OLD people getting into accidents. They are a higher risk than younger people as far as I am concerned. I have seen 3 motorcyclist die from old people pulling in front of them not paying attention. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NEVER DO THIS. Because they will have to pick up the tab. Once you are deemed unfit to drive public transportation SHOULD be free. It should be a benefit to growing old in this country. But that costs money. Money we don't have. And old folks will consider it their RIGHT to drive. They should have the right IF they can pass a reflex test and a driving test. Hell for that matter make EVERY motorist take the test every 5-10 years until they are 65 so the old folks don't feel TOO singled out. Good post Dave. Rhino
  7. I'm sorry.. Without a partially closed off nose like the VX, FX, Xaos, Crossfire the front of that canopy is going to be a speed brake. Sure it will keep air in but it looks to me like the nose design will be highly counter productive to lowering drag and increasing speed..??????? Rhino
  8. Well.. Actually... The sales of SUV's did not drop off as gas prices went up.. Everyone eants their SUV!! Rhino
  9. That velocity sounds fun.. What are your loadings on them? Rhino
  10. Don't worry Bill.. Soon enough that plant that is re-processing plutonium will have a freak accident You know. Like the electronics fail and a melt down occurs. Something terrible and weird that fries the whole place. Sit back and watch Rhino
  11. Good thread huh And YES it works..................... Rhino
  12. Allways better to start on 7 cells.. You can learn more lower speed flight maneuvers. Fly slower. Learn to hold longer. Work on accuracy better. Learn how to land a 7 cell well and 9 cells is a snap. 7 cell canopies like the Triathlon and Spectre are a different beast than Sabres. Master the 7 cell and when you actually do have to use your pd113 your chances of handling it well will go up drastically. My reserve is a pd126. I use to fly a Diablo110. Although the Diablo was a VERY HIGH performance 7 cell canopy it still has the thin line bottom end 7 cells are known to have. Hope this helps.. Rhino
  13. I don't think lowering home interest rates are going to make that much of a difference. I believe GAS prices are directly related to how much money is being pumped into the economy. People can't spend as much on toys when they are spending $1.80 on gas instead of $1.10 a gallon. For a 20 gallon tank of gas that is an extra $14 a tank. Times that by a tank a week and you are looking at $800 a year in additional gas per vehicle!!!!!!!! I don't care how much lower you make home interest rates, how much you lower taxes, or how many child credits you get the GAS prices are kicking the economies ass!! Just something I have been thinking about.. It is a pitty we depend on it so.. Rhino

    first cutaway

    Nice scenery,,
  15. I hear you.. That Xaos is really meant to be loaded though. The Xaos21-98 I had felt like a BOAT. If flew like a 120. I probably should have been in the 85-88 range. And that would have been from a Crossfire103, before that a Diablo110. That is a big jump I know. Just food for thought.
  16. Hooksnswoop is my mentor.. Watching him made me want to swoop.. He has ripped me when I need it. Schooled me on a constant basis. I constantly try and learn what he knows. He is the only mentor I have in skydiving. Rhino
  17. Good for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rhino
  18. The only system that will do that is grounding everyone,. Again we aren't playing putt putt golf we are skydivers. This is not the safest thing in the world. Rhino
  19. Umm.. Don't forget Segador He will be there too!! Rhino
  20. Don't you hate it when they do that?? lol
  21. openings have been great. I have yet to get even close to spanked. I opened in partial line twists once and it flew out by itself. That was due to a sloppy packjob. If you do get one I would recommend a long chest strap. Loosening it up makes a very noticeable difference in flight through turbulance and higher winds. Rhino
