Bingo.. That is understandable.. There are certainly those that fall in the category you mention. You said it.. Quickest remedy is the problem. Not the long term fix to the problem. Not finding out root cause and fixing the neuropathways. It's much easier and quicker to go with plan B. Rhino

You aren't making it personal are you? I have said no such thing... If someone takes it that way it is probably because they know they should suck it up.. LOL Rhino

Hell I don't know.. Have you seen It's a BEautiful Mind.. I think that was the name.. Russell Crowe.. Rhino

I'll take your word for it.. I know depression is linked to ones focus. Repeated thoughts and or behavioral patterns. Among hundreds of other things that can and will effect those chemicals you mentioned.. Rhino

The definition you seek is different around every corner. Depending on who you talk to you will get a multitude of different answers. Their is no blanket answer. The best I could answer is real life. Real life gets people depressed. And I don't have to currently be depressed to know what I am talking about. As the post stated that was deleted in the womans forum I HAVE BEEN THERE and understand depression and it's symptoms as well as anyone on here does. Answer your own question if you will. Anyone on here could have an opinion and disagree with your symptoms. Rhino

Nope I tell them to look in the mirror and SMILE

Yep.. But an open mind is great. The mind is like a parachute. If you don't open it it won't work. You going to the wffc Michelle? Rhino

I understand.. That is the type of depression smiling in the mirror probably won't help much. I'm sorry man, I know that is hard. Seeing someone you love in pain is the worst thing in the world. That is fine. It still wouldn't hurt anyone that is depressed to try. I understand where you are coming from. But, SOME people aren't in an extended, extreme position you are in. Some are just depressed because they focus on being depressed. Some people can be helped GREATLY by smiling 20 minutes a day. Keep the faith bro... Rhino

Get in line. I don't really care what you think about me. What I offered is a possible, alternative way of helping yourself. Funny.. I got it from Anthony Robbins.. I guess he is just a jack ass that doesn't know shit about the human mind huh?? He helps MILLIONS of people a year. HE is a billionaire.. Owns his own island.. Planes.. He has respect. Councels Presidents. He counseled Mother Theresa among others. He REALLY cares about people.. So do I. I don't sit around and make excuses as to why you can't possibly help yourself. I pass on helpfull info. Shared with some that might need it. And as usual the little minds come out of the woods to throw a flame on a good thing. Rhino

Fight me all you want. 90+ percent of people on those types of medications are simply taking the easy way out. Better yet why don't you give data to prove otherwise. You have stated your opinions that are typical in todays "hand out antidepressant" society. We are One Nation Under Prozac. lol I would never criticise those who take it I would criticize the incompetent "therapists" that hand it out like candy. Hell some people go to the Dr.'s Just to get certified. Yeppie!! I am CLINNICALLY DEPRESSED!! I'm licensed now!! Give me a break. pleeeeeze... Is there such a thing?? lol j/k Rhino
