Chicken schnitzel with cheese, avocado, lettuce, & butter on Turkish pide, toasted. Yum. edit: also, for Frenchy: fresh baguette with camembert and maybe parma ham. -
In that case, after it's had at least 24 hours to dry, put it back together and hope

Whack it with a large hammer? Do you have a digital camera to show us what it looks like now?

Jyro is indeed the name of the bloke from NZ Aerosports. NZ Aerosports designs Icarus canopies. Icarus Canopies Inc in the US makes the canopies under licence. As for the specific Jyro/Gryo canopy, I'm afraid I can't help. Why not ask Jyro himself? His phone numbers are on the site (please be aware of time zones ).

What's the old Arab saying? "A woman for children, a boy for pleasure, and a melon for ecstasy"

Could be a plan, Stan. I'm jumping Saturday and Sunday. I'll let ya know on the pizza tomorrow morning... ...as long as you don't invite freeloading US students .

Cotton doesn't easily conduct electricity, but maybe a toothbrush or similar might be better? Or, if you have an electric shaver, the little brush for cleaning it could be perfect... edited for spleing

That photo of Bryan (out of a DC3?) is absolutely amazing.

Isopropyl/rubbing alcohol. Clean using a soft cloth (nothing abrasive). Rinse with distilled (ok, clean would do) water and leave in a warm dry place to air-dry. If the laptop was on, something may have shorted out. If you're lucky, it may be a replaceable fuse.

Unfortunately, I'd imagine $160/head is a little out of the price range of a student .

Eatability is usually a pretty good guide. I can't give too much in the way of personal recommendations, as I'm not a huge seafood fan...

Make sure he eats at the restaurant rather than the outdoor bistro thingy at Doyles. Much nicer.

He was a man that was singlehandedly responsible for some of the strangest and best moments in radio. And a couple of years ago, playing at the Big Chill (a music festival), he played two hours of stonking gabba. Punctuated by Status Quo. Twice. Very very peverse sense of style RIP.

It's still ongoing, with all the extra information.

Well said.

I'd never even heard of Lucky magazine two hours ago... it's just mentioned in an MTV report about the whole fiasco...

Ditto .

They've reduced the alcohol? Ah well, I'll just have to drink something else instead... Oh, and if you like JD, try and find yourself a bottle of Bullet Bourbon. Smoother than Jack without being as tooth-clenchingly sweet as Jim Beam or Maker's Mark. Highly recommended. edit: edited for spelling.

Yep. Folk identify emotionally with people they see on TV. If they didn't there wouldn't be a hell of a lot of an industry there... they love to cheer the good guy, boo the villain, and see little miss "I'm totally against it and offended by it.... I'd never lip-synch. It's just not me*" get her comeuppance. * in an interview with Lucky magazine.

Do you believe in miracles and have you ever had one happen to you?

No & no. -
General Note: If you receive spam, just don't respond. Ever. Even if it's a once-in-a-lifetime deal. 'Coz all you're doing is making it profitable to send spam, and therefore worse for the rest of us. edit: Not directed specifically at you pilotdave
