    You visitors to Maui left out the really cool stuff! Painted junk cars and appliances laying all over the place. Cane field burns. When first lit, they look like tactical nukes (nice mushroom clouds). I live in upcountry Maui and work at the airport. Nice island but no dropzone!!!

    Max was one of the first people I met at Skydive Hawaii last year when I started jumping there. I asked him to sign my logbook. He not only signed it but drew a picture of Diamond head, the sun and a bird along with "aloha". Every time I seen him, he was always upbeat and happy and made others feel the same. Condolences to his family and friends, same for the ladys family and friends. blues skies friend.

    I have several jumps over at that DZ over the last year, have my own gear. Just haven't made a jump since April. The email they sent said safety recurrent ground training and an AFF4 jump=250 bucks. I thought that that was a lot of dough too. I emailed the other DZO there and haven't heard back yet. Both DZ's in Hawaii make their money with tandems and I have no problems with that. I guess they have a monopoly and can charge whatever they want. I think I will just wait till I go back to Oregon probaly at Christmas and make a jump at Estacada.

    I guess the upside is they didn't saw off his head like some of the other islamic fucks like to do. I feel sorry for this guy and his family but as others have posted, he knew the risks. And the end product of his smuggling involves lots of ruined lives, hopelessness and suicides.

    The turbine dz is Skydive Oregon in Mollala just 18 miles from the airport with many skilled flyers. The dz itself is quite beautiful with lots of friendly folk. They do have a tendancy to ask for beer penalties to be paid in Mirror Pond Pale AleWink And the ratty old 182 and DHC2 zone is near Estacada, Skydive Beaver Oaks. More friendy jumpers and you can buy cheap beer
