My hard deck is where my next 4-1000 count would put through 1 grand. When I pitch above 2 grand, I start the old military 4-1000 count and repeat until I have an open parachute above me. After each 4-1000 count it's "check altitude!" When doing some in air rigging, I never stop counting and checking altitude until the main is fully open or I know my next 4-1000 count will put me under 1 grand. At that point, I execute emergency procedures and cut away for a reserve ride. I have 10 malfunctins and 9 cutaways. The odd one was a BASE malfuction. This method has saved my ass on several occasions. Too many people think they know how it "feels on opening," and think they'll automatically react correctly. Think of it as a Budda Mantra (sp?). Pitch, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 Check Altitude! Repeat as needed. Sorry . Count or die one day. ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!!

I got my TeXXas 20 way in '84 when I was home on leave from the Army. It seemed like it was a weekend event to put together at least one 20 way on Saturday and Sunday! ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!!

I've still got a mirage from 12/83 in jumpable condition. I bought it used when it had about 25 jump on it. Right now it's holding an out of date Phantom 26 with a PD 210 in it. During the day, I jumped a swift 5 cell and Fury 220 in it. ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!!

After jump school in March-April 1982, my first duty assignment was 9th ID at Ft. Lewis, Washington. I joined the parachute club and did my 5 static lines in June '82. My first CP was off the ramp of a Chinook CH-47. The CH-47 was a dream to exit for your first freefall. Just a bunny hop backwards and you're face into the relative wind. ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!!

Sorry to hear that. It is also a lie... And for the average person they are not going to care you are trying to tell the truth someplace else. If you are willing to lie on one aspect, why should you be trusted to not lie on another? As for checking it.... I could not honestly care. To ME you have lied once, why bother even trying to trust you. No, it is lying. You may think it is cute, but saying something you know is not true is a lie.... Then there is no reason to believe the 15k number, or your 20 year number either. And you have already shown you are willing to lie over something small. And as I said before... Whuffos don't know it. And THEY are the ones that are going to be looking to see how many jumps a TANDEM master has. YOU just said it was a lie, BTW. There is evidence to back that it is not true. He was willing to lie about his jump numbers already. He has established the precedent of being willing to lie about jump numbers. Except the fact you are willing to lie right to me. And that is a big reason not to trust you. Or just know that you are willing to lie over trivial maters and therefore not trust you to tell the truth. You put it because you are unwilling to tell the truth. That's fine. But don't expect people to trust you when you try to tell the truth later. And don't get upset when people don't trust you are not lying. Its cool... You are just trying to defend his lying since you do it too. Is it a big deal? No. But it does lead others to question your other claims (15k tandems, 20 years). Get a life. ____________________________________ I'm back in the USA!!
