If you have to concentrate on arching like hell to even stay with your group, unfortunately your flying will be hindered. Tighter jumpsuit (don't know what you have now) and coaching techniques will help, but more than likely you will have to put on weights at one point or another. I don't know many stick figures that can fall with the heavier Joe's very easily. I obviously wear weight on 95% of RW jumps (I'm a wee 105 lbs). It sure beats bending in half with my hands behind my rig just to stay with the group. Do you have a Pro-track? Whats your average fall rate? _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

There was a situation in which I re-tightened a Reflex closing loop because F-111 was seeping out b/w the cap and spring. The loop was very loose. I called the rigger who had recently packed the reserve and obtained his approval to tighten his work. Under no circumstances would I tamper with a closing loop etc without first receiving an affirmative response from the rigger whose seal is on the reserve. He showed up at the dz later that day and double checked on the loop. I wouldn't let anyone tighten the PC with my seal on it. Only a select few. I know these few would have the respect to contact me before making any changes. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

It will be much more cost-effective for him to have a rigger put dive loops on his current set of risers. Like slotperfect said, its a simple task. James make sure you talk to someone on the phone when contacting your container manufacturer. I too, have had some bad luck with e-mail contact etc. You should get an immediate response if you speak with them. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

Couldn't have stated it better myself. I'll reiterate, hold out for the job you want! Don't get suckered in to some bullshit duty for 4 years. Of course your ASVAB scores will determine what you qualify for, so good work on getting ahead there. If your drill instructor doesn't know your name after the first 3 weeks (I take pride in that), you're right where you need to be. Do what you're told and do it right the first time. I'm sure you'll do well. Good luck
