  1. Sure I do. But you may be better off with some on ebay. They are in better condition and would be easier to get shipped. Mine are still together, but not in the best condition. I rode them ragged as a kid. They aren't the prettiest
  2. WHEW! I went to flatlander.com and was thoroughly intimidated! What else would you expect from a chick? I read a question someone had about getting a bike and being a beginner. The reccomendations weren't what I expected, but I read them anyhow. I had no clue that there were bikes made for riding flat. I wonder what an old school GT will do to me since these new ones brag about stronger areas where you need them. I'll send in the pics once I get them
  3. I had another question about tire inflation. Should I inflate the tires on the bike to more than what is required if I'm going to be attempting any stunts? I figured the answer is no, but if I do by chance get this right, I do'nt want the tire ripping off the wheel because of my fat ass. There is more weight on one tire at times, from what I've seen on the videos and so on. Won't it make sense to be sure of proper inflation? -Retard
  4. WHOOO it works. Just go to the jumptrack on the computer, and do an add jump as normal. Just use your womanly powers to type in the number of the jump you want to add and it will let you file it anywhere. I put in the FFtime the altitude and so on. SO much for screwing things up. And to think we didn't have sex that night we argued about it. What a waste, just admit you're wrong JOHN
  5. Thanks Sky Cat. It seems to be adding a jump to the end of my jump totals though. I began just changing the jump number, but John interrupted and said "Let me figure it out before you mess it up!" So now that I'm alone, and there are no signs of his fist in my face, I'll try it now My regards to your boyfriend. . . . OH and my Safire2 is going just fine! John is still coaching me on landing however during the no wind days.
  6. Thanks a bunch. I figured I'd need to just find my own way. I guess being a girl. . . I just needed a good man to slap my face and say "Do it yourself BITCH!" Best advice I could have ever gotten! I mean that
  7. That Johnny post was done as me, I can' t seem to control these cookies! Sorry if it confused any of you. the REAL Kim
  8. I had a question for all you BMXers out there. How come Freestyle BMX (what I thought was freestyle) has now become a term describing dirtbike flips on ramps and such. What is the term for the old school spins in one place and bunny hops on the front wheel and so on. All the tricks I see in the movie RAD. Here is an added question to that, how do I go about learning how to do them. I was always interested as a kid, but never had an instructor. I always did my BMXing in the dirt fields nearby where kids carved out jumps berms and so on. What should I be looking for in a bike to be able to attemp these tricks successfully. (I have 4 or 5 GTs apart in my garage, and wondered if they'll do). So is it still called freestyle? Was it ever called freestyle? Do I need a Vanilla Ice haircut and a small braid coming out of my neck to do in place stunts like I described? Thanks
  9. Hey, I have a ProTrack and JumpTrack to go with it. I'm searching the help area on Jumptrack to find out how to insert a jump between jumps on the computer where I missed one. The computer and the ProTrack already have it on as a manually inserted jump. In other words, it goes from 294 to jump number 296 because I missed 295 and it compensated. But is there any way to get the soft logbook to SHOW 295 so I can manually put in the altitude and comments and so on? Thanks
  10. I've been working on this the other day. I have the same problem as the guy who started this post. I got coaching from a GREAT Icarus Safire flyer, and found that I'm flying through the sweet spot of the flare. His landings (though other people on the DZ were running them out) took him maybe two steps after his swoop. Not a run or a jog. Thats how I knew he was doing it right. I come in so fast (yesterday was a no wind day) that I flare too high (though I thought I was about twice the height of a person-the general rule for flaring says Scott Miller). But indeed I was too high, scared by my speedy approach. The video showed this. My coach said I was rushing the flare and by the time I reached the ground my swoop was through. I had swooped in the air, and not touched the earth yet. So my landings became dirty, stingy, and filled with PLF's from using it's flare power up too high and getting dropped. I don't mess with the brake line lengths because I checked it in the air. I can flare it almost to stalling, (thats enough for my flare) and when I do a front riser turn with toggle in hand, it doesn't deflect the tail. They are just fine, and that is the way you can tell. Of course if you don't do much front riser stuff, you can always shorten them so you can cheat on the flare. It depends how you fly the canopy. Like adjusting a bicycle seat, and handlebars. It's hard, but ultimately I had a student radio on again, and was talked down and through my flare. I don't think that on a midrange canopy like the Safire or Safire 2 you need to build MORE speed to get a better flare. Sounds like you have enough speed already! All my best for a better landing.
  11. Figures teh GK can go do that, I'll be John and I have no chance unless we decide on the government funding us somehow. That sucks.........But GREAT pics, wish I was there:):)
  12. I WANT TO CLEAR SOMETHING UP, THE POST OF JOHNNY1488 IS NOT GAY. IT IS A MESS UP OF MINE WITH COOKIES, AND I DIDN'T REALIZE WHEN I WENT TO MAKE THE POST THAT I WAS SIGNED IN AS JOHN. He looks kinda gay saying something I would
  13. Woah! That sounds right on! Yeah it is time for a new camera, but this is all I have, and I'm not into photography enough to get a new one. . . . okay okay, I'm too cheap:)
  14. Hey if you guys at the Ranch wanna' see what I USED to be like, take a peek. I can't believe it's the same person, this one may actually be loveable? What happened?
  15. Hey Gene, I remember you saying you couldn't get your pics to download, so I put them on here, maybe it will help? The one called stnhnorngsun I was thinking could be the over all piece. Having some grass in it and so on. THen I thought I'd need it closer maybe from a strange angle looking from the ground up into the sky next to one of the stones so that the stone looks huge in the foreground...Bla bla bla Ideas are cruising through my head, but these are the pics that inspired them. Mostly the stonehengeblue and the stnsilcloud one. Check it out and let me know next time I see you:)
  16. Hey, I have an old camera My dad got from Vietnam in 1970. Its a Mamiya/sekor 1000DTL (whatever that is). It is not a helmet mounted one. But my pics come out part black, sometimes. And when you look closely you can see lines in the pics. Almost as if the edges were black and went through some rollers to wipe off the black and it smeared and thinned out over the rest of the pic. I'll try to upload some examples. It seems to happen for no reason in the middle of the roll, then stop just as quickly. You can see the black most easily against the blue. See the lines? The problem on this particular roll started at pic # 7 and stopped at 14. I hope I can get some help:)
  17. I wanted to change my picture on my profile from the one my boyfirend put there to one of MY choosing. However when I tried this last night AND this morning the new pic I put in it's place doesn't show up. INSTEAD I get the original picture but it's stretched horizontally and I look even MORE retarded. I tried chosing "none" for pictures, saving the changes, signing off online, then going back on and changing it from there and it is the same. The size of the pic is less than the amount required so it isn't that it is too big. Any ideas?
  18. Holy cow I just realized I replied to TOM!!! Hi:) I was so glad when you talked about that drift calculator at the saftey meeting. I really thought you were talking about the other one that John found. Now John has to go look for it again. It's actually a bit more in depth from what I remember than the one on that link you left. But thanks for posting so fast:):):)
  19. Thats not the one, thanks for trying though. It gives you the ability to put in your fields yourself such as number of people in the group, Free flyers, belly flyers and so on. Then there is a graph (kinda) with a plane above and a dotted line showing where everyones path goes to.
  20. Told you arguing was useless. But I'm going to end it here with my last post. Nature is cruel. There is no evil. Just what is good for one and not for the other. People are the same. History is written by the winners of the wars. The English consider the founding fathers traitors, not the heroes we are taught about in school. I don't think naive is such a great word here. He was of German decent and didn't believe in going to war against his own ancestors. That was a terrible feud, brother killing brother. There is much more to that position than we can read or see on TV. Oh no I gave myself away! You got me, I'm a 99 year old Nazi war criminal! I must take my poisoned capsule to avoid capture. Otherwise they'll send out the Nazi hunters to make me pay all my money for "crimes agains humanity". Aw crap... just get them after me for improper exit form too. See ya
  21. You know I WAS going to go on my own roll like Quade just did, but figured it'd be worthless (as it's become already) to argue facts and not opinion. And I thank you for that Quade, you are absolutely right. Why, in a neighborhood by mine, the streets are named Goebbels Road and Hess Street because most of America at the time was German; it almost became our second language. So pissing and moaning about Lindy rooting for Germany and how we should remember that part, points fingers at almost EVERYONE in America at that time. So why is Lindy so singled out? And actually I'm UPSET the teachers teach it the way they do. Because nowadays all they DO is drudge up politics when they are supposed to teach us about great men and their accomplishments that improved the way Americans live today. I hardly recall much from school about Ford besides his one invention of the assembly line. The reason for this is because the teacher went on about his piece called the "International Jew", and how he was illiterate (figure that one out). She did the same for Lindy, and come to think of it spent most of her time making everyone in the class feel badly about themselves if they were of German decent. Thanks again Quade, I was beginning to think I was the only one who knew or cared about these matters.... you know.....about sliding and rolling......what ELSE is there to know Do I REALLY need 20 more points on my already spiked battle axe? Maybe if I you add in the bonus too
  22. Thanks for that too Quade. I never knew that bit of info, and because of it I'm looking for more books on/by Lindy. You've given me a proud smile that I can wear all day
  23. Quote" ...but just to make sure we remember the other side... "reply] My thanks goes out to JohnRich for posting that piece. Seems too little of us rememeber Lindy for his heroic qualities. Come on sundevil, you sound like a 3rd grade history teacher! Exiting from the plane differently will MAKE you slide the right way, then you can roll all you want when you land.
