I don't want my parents making the decision, because I know, that even though they know what I would prefer, I think it would be extremely difficult for them to let me go. A parents worst nightmare is to see their children die. I know they could not make a rational decision, even if though know my wishes. (Everybody who knows me at all knows that if I am ever in a completely paralyzed or quadriplegic state, let alone a vegetative state, I want to be released; if my brain is functioning, I'd prefer to be released quickly and painlessly.) However, I can't see me parents consenting to that. Actually, I would think my the best person (even better than a spouse) would be a really good friend who knows exactly what I would want, but I guess that's what a spouse is supposed to be anyways. I was raised hindu, and while we believe in reincarnation, the religion itself (and i believe buddhim as well) is a very lenient religion. A lot the "rules" are given as guidelines, but which ones are followed depends a lot on the environment. For example: Hindus generally don't eat meat, fish, poultry, etc. We're not supposed to eat (because of cows) and its good to not eat any meat, but that's often not followed. Southern India wats largely fish; and although I know many Hindus, most do eat meat. There are variations of Hinduism as well (ie: Jainism) which are much more strict in their rules. I wouldn't think the religion would have anything to say with whether or not you are supposed to prolong your life with any means possible. This ad space for sale.

Do you think she would have wanted her parents and siblings to send death threats to her husband? Do you think she would have wanted her parents and siblings to drag her life out over fifteen years, to have them remember her as being a vegetable for a good portion of her life, to have her bring back memories of court cases and public hysteria, instead of memoris of things she did when she was alive? I live my little brother to death, but if he's ever in a vegetative state, I wouldn't want to remember him in that state. Let him go in peace, and we can remember the good memories. MS probably didn't want them at her "death"bed for 1) the way they treated him throughout the years. 2) she's been fucking dead for fifteen years; get over it, let her go peacefully, and continue with your life. I honestly don't think her parents had her best wishes at heart either. This ad space for sale.

That was the greatest south park episode ever. i just found out about the PSP seconds before when a friend of me walks in thinking he's all hot shit cuz he just bought a PSP. Then I sat down to watch South Park and was laughing my ass off the entire time. This ad space for sale.

No one has stated evolution is a fact, but a scientific theory is not the same as a layman's theory. (Read Nightingale's explanation above - I couldn't say it better myself.) Actually, I'm sure you could, if you went about it scientifically, showing evidence, research, etc. [Note: the bible does not constitute a scientific text.] I would venture to bet that it would be in a scientist best interest to be able to scientifically denounce evolution, as it would one of the most important resarch done in this time. Thing is, though, most people, who argue evolution have no scientific data to back their explanations. Generally, all they're saying is it's a theory so it's not necessarily true.
