Interested to hear what the feelings are out there about tandem handcam and camman taking a back seat.I did alot of tandem video and when Handcam came in was sitting on the ground a lot so got me a handcam.What are the feelings out there? Get yourself a Sony HC 21,can do family stuff well and airwork.Its cheap and works well,You get all the connections for dv,camlight etc.I have been using one for handcam for months,they are light easy to use.Later on depending what you wanna do(Norman Kent stuff) then look for that kinda cam,HD etc expensive.HC21 good all rounder.Pc 101 also good if you can get one but are a little heavier. Make sure your PROGRAM AE is set to AUTO if you are using a wide angle. Set to other will give you the cloudy look or out of focus.On the pc101 you can use them but on hc21 no go. hope this helps TQ I am me and you are you, so deal with it!!! www.skydivepe.com

I have had no problems with the handcam and 90% of my tandems have been with,have had 1 reserve ride and cam was not a problem.good footage i must say.Two points to consider having a cutaway gives you another handle,pilot shute will make what is bulky more bulky.the cam is on the back of your hand out of the way.I will still say yes to any ideas to make it safer.I don't know of any bad situation where the handcam was to blame but as life goes one will appear,which I hope does not. Wanting to know if anyone can give me some advice. Problem with sigma 370 main.Inconsistent openings,end cells inflate before center cells,they seem to want to overtake center cells,when center inflates then one end cell collapses a little causing line twists.openings are eratic swinging you all over the place. I tell them knees to chest feet forward,tell them to use their hands to pull knees up if needed and keep that possition until I say relax or stand up.They are out the way you fly...slide it ,stand it,run it, you decide.Seen to many tandem landing cartwheels,looks uncool and people get hurt. When i was in the States I had a student with a couple of friends to do tandems.On the ground he was loud and the man.Had statements like I want the extreme version. In the plane he got quiet and on run in started shouting no no no and sttarted grabbing at me.He nearly pulled my goggles off.I however asked him if he was cool to jump and screamed at me **** no no no. I landed with him in the plane.Would not have taken him.I have had some that say no but are calm enough and I peruade them to go.It depends on the passangers attitude,no sometimes sounds like go.One thing though, safety comes first. Holy c***,Have not seen anything like thet before. I am a TI and still learn a lot. I would not want to be in that spot. Laterals Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!. Manifest is run very well,all staff will make you feel at home as soon as you walk in.If you are a experienced jumper or new to the sport you will feel at home.The ride up to altitude has the best veiws. Tandem Instructors are very experienced and make you feel at home.You will have a good time.Visit them and do the big banana(arch)You will leave with a smile.Bob the owner and Mike the rigger make sure that all is up to scratch.Josh and Tyler(packers} do a very good job.If you want to do a Tandem look no further.Well done guy's and girls.********
