Dued I am definately jumping at Spaceland tommorow (weather permit). I haven't made a skydive in 2-3 weeks due to work and school reasons and I an free tommorow, woo hoo. Ironically enoughy yesterday was my birthday, 26 years of life and one year since my first skydive. Happys.... .:skip

3:0:0 No jumps this weekend, I’ve been working nights and slept all day Friday, Saturday had a long presentation at University of Houston and to boot the weather was crap. However Sat. was also me 26th birthday and my girlfriend took me out to the Melting Pot (fondue food), and then we caught a local heavy metal band, drank fuck loads, and stayed up all night working on the first number. So I slept all day today and then went out with the kin folk for a birthday dinner. Good news is I am on vacation and hopefully Spaceland will be able to put me up a few times tomorrow and a few more on Tuesday; I’ve never been out during the week so I don’t know what to expect. Then on Wednesday my girlfriend, my sister, her husband, their son, and I are off to meet my Mother, her husband, my adorable little sister, and my Grandmother (whom I haven’t seen in 8 years) at Disney World. Awesome week I am stoked. .:skip

Hell yeah brother! I also just received my A and I feel the exact same way. I’ve accomplished many things in my small life but who would have thought this. Definitely!! I used to play in a few bands and I've often compared my "after skydive rush" to that of just finishing a gig; and I think the largest crowd I played for was 300. What a thrill, have fun Dave. .:skip

One student loan. One full paycheck (80 hours of work). 300 dollars borrowed from girlfriend. 4 months later I've only been to afford 28 jumps on said rig; however I have finally (today in fact) paid back all debt, stayed in school, and this Wednesday I'm taking my girlfriend to Florida (Disney World) as an act of THANK YOU for helping me get my rig. With the 2 piece suit how does the top (jacket) attach to the bottom (pants), or is there no atachment points. If not is there any chance of the jacket blowing up etc. I'm going to order me a suit this weekend and I'm seriously considering a 2 piece. Thanks. .:skip

You know I used to suck at landings myslef. I'm still not great but I'm getting there. I used to bif in EVERY landing I made, and then one day someone here on Dropzone.com said to look at the horizion instead of at the ground. So the next jump I looked out towards the horizion and not the ground, I wasnt sure what exactially I was looking for out there in the horizion However I landed on my feet and have continued to on every jump sense. You might check out where you are focusing you attention apon final. Just a thought. .:skip

You can find some used kites on Ebay. I have a 6' Parafoil: Ram air double line kite for sale. If anyone is intrested let me know and I can provide specifics. It is not as big as some you guys are talkign about but it is a great intro kite and is damn fun to fly. .:skip

Humph!!! I will actually be vacationing in Orlando the 21st through the 29th. I had really really wanted to make it out for some skydiving and had actually scheduled some canopy classes with Mr. Miller. However as $$things$$ have worked themselves out I am limited to having a blast with my mother, younger sisters, and Mickey. WOW! I am uber jealous as well. I also work for a huge corporation and though I actually like my job quite well I often want to do the exact same thing. I’ve already contemplated life lived out of a van, mapped out free showers around the states, found worthy homes for Ozzy the cat.
