Yup! I notice where the DZ is in the plane, find it while in free fall, and then after I've opened and checked my air space (before I've collapsed my slider and released my brakes); thus I always know where I want to land. Now surley someday somethign will hapen and I will know where the DZ is and also know that I will not make it back, and thus I study my outs as well. Congrats on the beer tree landing, glad everythign worked out fine. .:skip

when ever I load my machine with xp I get the same thing. Tho XP loads my video cards drivers I go out and get them from the manufacture and reload them which solves the problem. .:skip

I jump at spaceland which stays fairly bussy, we usually only fly one of our otters at a time so I might be up at any time with 20 or so others. .:skip

Hey now that the New Year is here and new vacation time has been handed out I have been thinking about going this year. I currently have 65 and would hope to make at least 60-90 (hopefully more) by august thus bringing me to a total of 120-150ish jumps. Being a fairly conservative skydiver both in what skydives I choose to go on and how I fly my canopy, would this experience level be to low to join the convention and make a bunch of jumps from a bunch of the neat jump ships, choppers, and balloons? .:skip

Here is a great site. I basically learned everythign I know (err I mean everythign I forgot) from here. www.vcdhelp.com They even have a review section of DVD playes and compatibility issues. Hope this helps. .:skip

AYMEN! My girlfriend can also fall asleep anywhere anytime and sleep HARD. I on the other hand am insomniatic and quite a light sleeper. My ditching her in the middle of the night for the couch has cause some problems as of late so we too are learning little “positioning tricks” to keep her snoring to minimal. She caught me snoring once in the last 2 years (one night after hard skydiving and hard drinking), and has not let me forget it. .:skip out

I was actually glad to hear this because I had to work the night they were scheduled to play in Houston. Now with the rescheduling of the tour some time early 2003 I have a second chance. woo hoo. that qotsa album is definately a jam. .:skip

I received my new suit on Friday evening. Kurupee and it kicks ass. I was not suppose to jump this weekend due to mass school work being due on Monday but I snuck out on sat for a test fly or three. Over the last 10-15 jumps my sit fly has been coming along nice but in just three jumps yesterday I made so much progression with this suit. I'm stoked. My GF snapped a few quick pics, my nephew loves the camera! .:skip

(PCSS) Poor College Student Skydivers. Who's in?

Well I used to be a “well off” college student, then I went skydiving. Now I guess between rent, car note, bills, very few jumps I am broke. I bought my rig 3 months ago and have just paid off everyone who helped me (my girlfriend). This semester at the University of Houston is almost over and I still owe 310.50 in tuition. Every month I put 50 dollars back into each of my two credit cards just to make the months minimum, once the checks have cleared I promptly max the cards back out making jumps. I’ve even started drinking cheep beer ohhh the HORROR!! In my 50 wee jumps I have learned just the essentials of skydiving but I have become a master of money management. So I guess you can count me in. .:skip -
