  1. Because it, or some thing like it we can afford, is needed. The Senate should just trim out the fat and it would be good to go. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  2. March 2012: Appeals court upholds award (but rejects lower court's attempt to double some of the damages) Any word if they are going to include the new name for sLyride, Sportations? "The court also rejected a counterclaim by Skydive Arizona that the injunction against Skyride should be nationwide. It found no proof Skyride operated illegally outside of Arizona." They sure didn't look to hard then. So how may DZO's are gonna grow a pair now? How many DZO's might be getting lower than expected amounts, late, or no checks? 3. You have no understanding of what you think you said and I'm not going to try explain it to you. Your only purpose is to bait and flame. If you were informed about what you keep throwing out, it might be interesting to discuss it. But, you are off the tracks in your understanding of the entire situation. Too much work to explain it if you won't listen anyway. We can't seem to agree on the simplest foothold here, Matt. You have no point at all. We can't agree, since you won't prove any of your wild claims. Obviously reading comprehension is not a strong suit with you. You are the "baiter", and a "master" at it, no one else. Put proof out there for us to see and touch, other wise your just a good "yarn spinner". Like it was said, it is a great "conspiracy" and so far that is all it is. Nice try to day you have to "protect" people by hiding the truth, but that is not correct is it? Facts as I see them: You had no physical hand in the hijacking (or so called training) what so ever. You are not protecting any one. (No one to protect) You had no role in MK Ultra (or any other name) mind altering experiment. You are here for your amusement and are a button pusher. This is true, because I said it is. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  4. NO, I get you're making this all up, using others stories and pieces of conspiracy to have fun toying with a few here who have actual emotional attachments to their belief. You have never provided ONE item of ACTUAL PROOF. Yet you would have us think you're some sort of expert and insider. None of which is true as of now, no evidence in support of the story. You don't even fit the Profile of the "Patients" in the experiment. Even your own time line just made your story wrong again, remember? I am glad others are getting the point of "remember". 5. You do know that the GOV released over 12,000 pages of documents about MK Ultra, and its other names, right? So, it DOES have documentation, so far you and Duane aren't mentioned. Since you just wrote that your "Wrote it down" scam and post those notes! That would be prof, you would be vindicated! You would get apologies for being doubted, be welcomed as a hero in some circles! Maybe even a beer or two bought for you! Hell, you would get a much better book deal than any one since the publishers would be knocking down your door throwing bags of cash at you! Maybe you don't understand, I WANT to believe your story and find the truth, but you have got to put the proof on the table. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. 6. "The dog ate my homework" FBI style. Maybe the FBI K9s ate the cigarette butts too? On the DC 9 with an open rear door there was no air disturbance inside the cabin, even right next to the bulkhead door. It was dead calm. Same in a C 130 standing right on the lowered tailgate ramp at 14,000 feet. 377 Maybe not hurricane gales, but enough to disturb light weight plastic, paper and foam containers- really close to the open ramp , I am not saying it happened, just challenging "dead calm" as fact. The 727, had very little current in the cabin when that was a jump platform at Quincy. The C-130 has an "arch" where the slip stream carves across the ramp cutting through the area by the hydraulic lifts and meeting in the center just a bout a foot inside the edge of the ramp. 9. I am guessing your point in posting this wasn't to advocate for better mental health care, which would be my concern, since my condolences are all I can offer the family, and I would not want to use their horrible situation as a punch line in a political commentary. Matt Don't get your panties all bunched up. My point is that it doesn't matter what we try to do people will always find ways to kill eachother. Could he have gotten a gun? I'd prefer to be killed by gunfire than repeatedly have my skull bashed in with a rock. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  10. I would say so, the data alone seems to negate the argument. I wonder if the readings would be lower indoors, since one complaint was that the noise woke some one up and another was the horses in the barn happened to be disturbed. 12. Is that before or after the Afghan public executes the persons that have shot six of our troops in the last two weeks? This bold brought to you by devil's advocate mode. That said, I could see a rational argument for allowing the local government to prosecute him. The concept of double-jeapordy is a long-time staple in the service. Screw up, off-base, and you'll face military charges after the civilians get done with you. I could see an argument being made that an arena of active conflict calls for separate rules, but it'd have to be pretty convincing to justify more lenient treatment of a mass murderer in Afghanistan than a rapist gets in Japan or a DUI in California. Blues, Dave We will need to read the SOFA to know what was agreed upon, and if there is a "waiver" in a case like this. The bad guy might have known the SOFA for all we know at this time. So far we have the dead, and the shooter. We still need the motive to determine the level of charges, then the conviction to determine the level of punishment. Both, I expect, would happen and not be light. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  13. Correct, but the Collins Lanyard evolved from the 'external' white piece of line (introduced in 1998), to black internal loop, to yellow loop introduced in 2005 (as a response to the tandem fatality). So, I was asking about the 3rd generation of Collins Lanyard. In reading the documents you linked it does appear that the new Collins lanyard is Standard on all UPT Sport Rigs. But I bet UPT can answer that better than I. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  14. Hmm, I think you just made an example, and the point, that education alone is not working, and "Rules with Enforcement" is needed. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

  16. No it is the GOP, they want Romney, if even their voters don't. Kind of like the TN Democrats did to themselves in 2008. They wanted a "Yes" man and did not have that with a certain State Rep, she won the Primary (TN it is an Open Primary) not putting there replacement Yes man on the ticket, so they negated all her none registered Dem votes (How I do not know, or maybe they just said that and over ruled the people). So the ballot comes out in the General Election and she is not on as a Dem, but an Independent. Since that was the year of "No more Bush" and any thing not "D" was "Bush" and Bush equals "R", even at the state level, many voted "D", not for a candidate, as quoted in exit polls and interviews. My point in that long winded ambling the TN Dem's focused on one candidate getting in, and they lost the State. The GOP should learn from States that this happened in and remember it, or they can just do what they are doing and we will see how the long term plans of President Obama play out. I so wish we had viable third and fourth parties. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

  18. That is why you would do the drift at each 1000' increment. This would give you a lot of drift modules, but we would see a trend, and get a target area, that would be far closer than pure speculation/fabrication. "Cause we be usen Sci-ants!" Matt Gotcha... If there was an agreement on the winds aloft data, I could hash out the "gazintas". I don't see the agreement happening though. Since we both know there are two common sets of winds aloft reports, civil aero and Mil Weather. Civil being typically (but not always) at 3000' increments, and Mil being typically (but not always) at 1000' increments. The Mil Weather would make the module more accurate as there are better numbers for the averages. But, either could make a search grid that can then be placed on to the appropriate down wind edge of the flight path down (the next agreement needed) and narrow down the search area. 19. are you referring to Section 2-1-E: 2. First-jump course [E] a. All first-jump non-method-specific training must be conducted by a USPA Instructor or a USPA Coach under the supervision of a USPA Instructor. b. All method-specific training must be conducted by a USPA Instructor rated in the method for which the student is being trained. Every instance of discussing Method Specific Training in the SIM referrs to teaching students and not licensed skydivers. Presumably, since USPA allows your the minute you become a licensed skydiver to jump a Sub 100 sq Ft Canopy when the winds are at 40 knots, they feel once you are licensed you are a big boy (or girl). You should be asking redramdriver that question. Which has been answered, I think. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  20. We'll probably learn that a piece of human waste killed 9 kiddies and 6 other people because he thought it was a good idea at the time. Just make sure that thing never gets out of prison again. Well, in regards to the thread, I tried to keep name calling, bias, and emotion out of it, and stick to facts, which are slowly coming out. I am sure your technique will make for a better debate though. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  21. But Harry Reid says paying your taxes is voluntary. Theft from the other citizens of the country, hmm, that sits odd to me for some reason. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  22. There are several of those videos on her page, all the same motif. She has to "approve" comments on the videos she forgot to disable them on. She is an extreme environmentalist and is applying the same tactics to the DZ she uses in her other projects. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
