Psych is a funny and strange field. And that girl definately has some psych issues. Phobias are very weird .... I am curious though as to what may have started that particular phobia (molestation as a child, forced to eat and almost choked, buried in them up to her neck, what?!)

Nuttin left but the crying... (or not, it actually wasn't that bad at all) 5 weeks to wait now. Waiting to get the lil scantron thingie I started thinking (and not about anything helpful) ... SAT/ACT, College exams, MCAT, Medical school exams, Step 1/2/3, Specialty Boards.... LOTS of lil dots. And still we have to sit there and listen about how to fill in the dots. If we don't know by now.... we shouldn't be taking the test! Karen p.s. Thank you all!! Been getting "nervous" the past couple of months.... studying and stressing a bit this past week. It all comes down to this. 200 questions covering "IT ALL" (OB/Gyn related... with some primary care stuffs) Boards suck! k.

Masturbation - nope, not bad. But relationships, where there will possibly be hopes and/or self identity concepts learned from, should be given more respect. (I just don't want him getting into a "bad" situation)

Although he is a "friend"... I also feel some parental responsibility toward him. He isn't my biological son but I've been helping raise him since he was 2 (and he's now 21). And add in the medical aspect of it - if he feels that he can refer to her as a slut 1. it's unsafe for him to be sleeping with her unprotected. 2. It's bad for his self image and concepts of relationships to be sleeping with girls for the sex alone. 3. It's not nice to call women that you're sleeping with sluts. Might be maternalistic, but hey... at least I'm trying to see it from a different prespective. edit to add: personally I think the word is archaic - but from a protection standpoint .... it started the discussion.

Just finished a discussion with someone a bit younger than I about relationships and partners. He described one of his current "friends" as a "slut." I cautioned him about the use of that word and it's implications (specifically warning him that using it is a good way to get his ass kicked by her) I then realized that I might be in a different population (age, gender) than he is. So I started thinking about if there was a general belief. But why would you think that way? There is so much more to chemistry than just who has the highest education or earns the most money. and who's to say what is more "successful"? If you're happy at life and enjoying it.... that seems pretty successful to me. Karen

This reminds me. True story. 4 years back... a friend of mine and I were in New Orleans on the Quarter.... Two girls having fun. Now, Tanja and I are a bit... competitive, so when she set the challenge about who could attract more guys, it was all game on. So during this, I forget what the actual end point of the study was, but it entailed knowing more about the guy than just that he wanted a "sport fuck"... so we actually had to talk with the guys and try the "get to know each other thing". ANYTIME I mentioned my occupation.... *poof* GONE! But, if I said waitress or work in a library.... I could continue talking and mark that down as one for the good team. (now there was the one genetic engineer type who didn't run at the mere mention of an intellegent female.... but since we were just discussing prenatal diagnosis and research implications.... Tanja knocked that off the list cuz we were being too "geeky") Overall though, I would like to hear the guys side of this story. Karen

The "humor" is in the shock of the public display of posting something so politically incorrect. Questioning the war, religion, English, seatbelt laws....
