  1. Remember.... they handcuff you for your protection.
  2. I've only gotten out a a few tickets. I tend to get indignant.... and I'm not so good with the batting eyes and acting all contrite.... and pulling the dr card. Nope, I don't go there. When I get pulled over, I tend to be polite, but not meek and mild. But... I figure, if I speed, then I'm willing to pay the ticket.
  3. It should be a multiple choice answer... cuz I have in the past/ and can again, look as sweet as cane sugar . But.... I can also make you wonder what you didn't catch me at....
  4. Get one of those GoFast shirts that says "you'll be fine as long as you don't do anything stupid." Those match any cast
  5. I'm actually surprised by all the reasonable answers (nobody mentioned coke... well except the diet coke with lime, but that's a bit different). Must be cuz Nightingale is so nice that everybody just wants to help. I do know that GoFast helped me through a few days of my intern year. But... the best answer is sleep.
  6. Around here, they're all Pre-Med. Just ask. Do they play doctor? I do
  7. Stop that. (didncha just loathe all that stuff on the tests.... and now you might be seeing the practical reasons for all those hideously boring lectures.)
  8. Nah... you just had too much grapefruit juice and that messed with your cyp450 so all your psych med levels are off.
  9. Hmmmm..... I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but I'm ok with not being hot n' sexy.... I'd perfer to be thought of as cute and smart anyday.

I would say ... black looks so formal and professional, but how about... if you're going to make a scene, be seen and go for the orange.
  11. DAMN! I forgot all about monkey fries.
  12. Honestly, I don't know what percentage only do an intern year. I would guess that it's VERY low. Being residency trained and board certified is a VERY DESIRABLE thing. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience.... but wouldn't it have been better to actually try to be part of the system and fix it as opposed to just whining about how everything sucks.
  13. I was there Fri night til past midnight Sat and Sat night til ... rather late. Not my fault that your dance card is too full to accomodate I would have be very amused to have heard you sing on karoke night.
  14. Anam Cara - John O'Donahue The Hitchikers Trilogy (all 5 of them) - Douglas Adams Atlas Shrugged - Ayn Rand Mr God, This is Anna - Fynn Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West - Gregory Maguire The good Willy Shakes (William Shakespeare for those more formal in the group) Children's books (Tuesday, The Three Questions, Katy No Pockets; Velveteen Rabbit; Old Turtle; I Love You the Purplest) Also look here or here
  15. No... not one breasted but there was this triple breasted whore, Eccentrica Gallumbits ... her erogenous zones start some four miles from her actual body (actually I do know some women that have had mastecomies due to breast cancer... strong women that don't need tits to impress anyone.)
  16. I think you are giving waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much credit to the flight attendant. No way does *any* flight attendant have that authority. That is a call for the pilot-in-command and you can bet that the pilot would not have done unless he felt there was good reason. They don't like running late any more than passengers do. I think the media has intentionally left out the facts that would that the scenario was more than a poor-victimized-mother-and-child vs. evil-flight-attendant story. The media really got some people stirred up. The discussion in this thread is a perfect example. I'd bet that if all the facts were presented, though, then the media who reported the incident would look *far* worse than the flight attendant. The mother has already exposed herself as an incompetent parent. Walt Per that interview... the mother stated that the reason that the plane was turned around was because the stew told the captain that the woman had threatened her. And... if she falsely stated that, she should lose her job and be charge with ... I don't know.... something. It seems to me that there was a power play there. The stew may have "won" but didn't play fair.
  17. She does seem to have some difficulty with him during that interview. I could see how she likely didn't have control of him during the flight. But... I still think the stewardess was out of line in turning the flight around for the sake of a power play.
  18. Without hesitation. (that goes for friend, family or appropiate match and includes both while living and after death)
  19. www.BeyondBlue.org.authis is Schizophrenia This is MDP http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dissociative_identity_disorder I once had a friend that told me this "joke"... "Roses are red Violets are blue I'm schizophrenic and so am I" He was quite annoyed when I then responded.... "but that's not schizophrenia...." Silly over educated types, ruining all the jokes...
  20. So... kinda sad to see Aviators was taken over by whuffo karoke types.... What's up with that?
  21. It would be really cool to meet you. I can't promise anything though, I have to see what the birthday boy might want to do.
  22. Possibly. The only firm thing in my schedule is the party on Saturday afternoon/evening
