  1. No not a liar at all. I do prefer more physical substance in a woman. Voluptuous and curvaceous are my general preferences in a picture of a woman. Now in person, for me, it's a different matter, intelligence, wit, and character play a much bigger role for me than physical appearance. Curvy girls makes you want to master..... your own fate? how do you come to that statement/question? DAMN!!! I forgot to tag this link. (so much for any smart points I was trying to score)

    SMART WOMEN

When a friend and I were down in New Orleans a few years back, her and I had a bit of a competition on who could attract the most .... attention. And it seemed that when the topic of jobs came around... they lost interest in the Doctor, but if I was a waitress.... they would keep trying. So "smart women" isn't always what is "wanted" (for the record.... she thinks she "won," but that was only cuz she kept "disqualifying" ones that were hitting on me - "you and he were only talking about genetics, that doesn't count" or "you were only talking for 10min, it doesn't count...." But really I know I won.)
  4. So.... um. By watching those youtube clips, I am curious as to how accurate those thoughts would be for the "Average American Male"
  5. Firstly, I want to say that I admire that you do want to be there for the child (whom you have referred to several times as "he"). I want to encourage you to be active in this childs life and not allow your relationship to be the "sperm donor" and check writer. As a Father, you can play a very important role in this new persons life. But... listen to some of the advice here. Consider the child first. Skyrads quotes were VERY spot on.... Be the Protector that this child needs. Whether the parent is male or female, the one that cares and protects is the one that should have the most influence. Not the one with the proper genitalia or the one with all the money.... rather the one that really will consider the child above self. Mothers can terribly scar the children when they use them as a pawn. Fathers can horridly tear down any confidence or hope when they dismiss or seperate themselves from the child. Decide to be a Parent. Think about him/her and that future and plan your life around those needs.
  6. [sings to self] FLASH!! Ah-hhhh. He'll save everyone of us.....

    Hospice

Whatever the patient and the family wanted done. Hospice gets people thinking and making decisions about this stuff in advance... Agreed... Luckily Hospice understand that there's more to a patient than just a set of vitals and change in level of consciousness. The patient and family has to understand their initial diagnosis (ovarian cancer vs. end stage renal disease vs. .....) They are educated on what they might expect (progression of disease process, pain/bowel changes, treatment for palliation/pain options.) That person is managed so that he/she is comfortable and in control for as long as possible. In your hypothetical situation... the pulmonary edema is very scary to the patient (the sensation of not being able to breathe, drowning is horrid) He/She might be given something to try to take the fluid off the lung... even if it kicks the kidneys a bit. Or some morphine might be given for relaxation (and yes... I know you noted decreasing level of consciousness... but you can have less consciousness and still pain). The family and pt hopefully will have discussed situations like this and thought of possible ways to make that person last few minutes/hours/days as painfree and comfortable as possible. (edit to clarify that although my reply was to Nightengale, I was also posting to the the other question as well)
  10. I'm told you look pretty Take a look at her avatar - she has to wear a mask over her face! Yup!!! - But back on topic. Although I feel sorry for her for that unfortunate answer, I do realize that 1. She chose to be there. Actively competed and desired to place herself in that position. She could have better prepared for that section of the competition. If its lack of knowledge, she should have been better read. If its stage fright, she she should have known to take a deep breath and compose herself. 2. It would show more dignity for her to just accept that she did say that and not keep trying to excuse and pardon.... But... it gets her more attention to keep digging it up
