I "had" to abandon my sweet lil kitty.... My older sister got these two lil kittens for my mother in 1991 when my father had his stroke. I was stationed in South Dakota and was moving alone... so took the two lil beasties to be my only friends in a vast open state.... Those two cats helps me keep my sanity (mostly) and my goal was to keep them happy and loved. Then fast forward to this new house that was bought about 3yrs ago. When the house was bought, the male was VERY sick and would have multiple accidents (projectile vomiting and diarrhea)... deal was made to have them stay in the basement cuz the carpet is a light brown. He had a stroke and I helped him go to sleep about 2yrs ago. I waited 18mos for the release of her from the basement, but that was not forthcoming... So I took her up to Wisconsin to live with my sister and her family where she could get constant attention and love and hugs and kisses and not just confined to a cold and remote section of the house.... I was not happy....

and they say men are shallow. Wow! You're just so sweet lately. Love you too. FYI - I didn't say that a man in uniform is the only type of man I like. Don't forget the rugged cowboy look....or the just worked out and is hot, sweaty, and needs a shower , or.... You forgot to mention that guys tend to like the cheerleader outfit or the nurse.... so us saying that a clean cut uniform look is shallow is kinda of the pot calling the kettle....

breaking your water.... if I was more witty right now, I would come up with a clever link between pissed off/pissed on/ and drenching someone with amniotic fluid.... but alas.

Pregnant lady called me at 4am. Her water broke and she had had a prior c-section, desired a repeat. Did not want a trial of labor, did not want to attempt a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). She did get to the hospital a little later than I had expected (took her about an hour to get dressed and come in) but then it took the nurses over an hour to get her checked in (cuz of the paperwork and early morning slow movement) and then another hour to get her labs, then it was shift change, then anesthesia didn't want to do it because all of the OR rooms were starting down in the OR.... with the poor woman just sitting there waiting.... I was just frustrated because she was awake and knew what to do, I was awake and knew what to do.... but yet we were being stalled to make it someone elses problem and that is not good patient care (those nurses gave me a wicked headache this morning.... Bad Nurses!)

Damn pregnant women! They are always slow and inefficient in a labor room... It wasn't the pregnant woman that was being inefficient. And she didn't get her c-section until 12:30 because of the foot dragging of others.

Being awake at 0430 and WANTING to do something (ie a C- Section) ... but because of other people being slow or less efficient, just being awake and NOT doing anything ... AND NOT able to go back to sleep....

I'm feeling your pain too. Call over the weekend... I just want some nice REM... and maybe a minute or two in stage 4.... just feeling a bit stomped. Being entertained would be nice......
