Dude. The Pilot chute is part of the harness/container assembly. The harness manufacturer uses what they use for a reason. It has NOTHING to do with the canopy manufacturer, as the canopy only functions when it's out of the bag - after the pilot chute's job is complete. t It's the year of the Pig.

A little after 1000 dives for me to exceed 1.4 I'm a slow learner. I spent over 2000 dives after that loaded to 1.65, and then another 1000 or so loaded to 1.8. I've got a new G4. It's a little tight bringing the slider down, but the security provided by the excess brake line stow makes it worth it. You did. Completely. I trust myself implicitly with a gun or any other deadly force application and my shooting was 100% justified, with no legal hangover whatsoever. Even 10 years later - I know it was exactly the right response at that time - or more death was certain. (They'd already shot someone.) I also know that some people do some stupid things with guns - and if someone ever does that - like pointing a gun at me to scare me - and I'm armed - they're going to die if I'm armed - while I may just be scared if I'm not. There are many people who just don't understand or accept the massive responsibility, the maintenance, care, discipline and mindset that go with being armed every minute of every day. They place themselves at risk more than they know, from angles they have not yet contemplated. To use one of Murphy's laws of combat - "Act unimportant. The enemy may be low on ammunition." Probably because there are MANY posters on DZ.com who are capable of feats Felix has yet to imagine, but who are also humble, and involved in spreading their knowledge, rather than powering a PR campagn to make themselves seem more than they are. Felix has shunned the skydiving and BASE jumping fraternities at almost every turn. His greatest fear is to be judged by his peers. Whuffo's are easier to impress.
