Scott and I are here, yea... nothing's going on... a tumbleweed just rolled by though. And it is dark at 7:30 I thought this place was rockin.. At least there was cold beer waiting by the unoccupied firepit with a twinkle of morning-twilight off in the distance. Great way to start a boogie early 80's style! Scott C. LOL, That helmet is very dead so letting Pin Head jump it is not an issue any more. The carbon fiber shell is split about 30% around but like I noted I got the Stroboframe, switch and Chin Cup back so not a total loss for me.. He is now hooked up with his own helmet and yes he added foam to it to make it fit better. He should have it at FnD so you can make fun of him in person. OK, I have 2 x 300-QRC brackets that I use for stills on different helmets! Well one helmet now after a helmet accident, not by me but a guy borrowing my still helmet to test for a trip coming up. Luckily he did not have his or more importantly my camera on it during the jump, I have no idea how, but the helmet separated from his head. I have jumped the helmet a good number of time with no issues so I have no idea how he did it wrong but it is what it is. Shockingly the helmet was recovered in about an hour and I was able to salvage the QRC, the tongue switch. Background done, the QRC had a slight issue, one of the red tabs broke on "landing" I have gone through the bracket and it works great but the tab is dead. Are replacements out there? Has anybody found or used a metal replacement tab that is a little tougher and can be tightened down more. I have always had to be careful on maintenance with the bracket to not over tighten the screw to break the tabs. I don't like them loose which give a little wiggle to the camera. If there was a metal tab it would offer the option to tighten it down some more and take that small wiggle out of the mix. Short of a metal replacement tab, can you get replacements on the cheap red tabs or is there another alternative? Thanks Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

Nice looking suit! Looking forward to seeing you fly it this weekend! Is that the first one off the production line? Do you have any initial pre-jump impressions of it? You do have a big smile on your face if that is any indication.... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

Scott thanks for the update and the waiver link, sent it to Z-hills just a bit ago. Found an old Z-hills card from a trip there a number of years ago. No idea what it is for but it is laminated with my name and has a number a bar code.. I doubt after a number of years it will be any good but Oh Well came across it, never know what you will find when poking around in your desk.. Looking forward to the jumps and meeting lots of WS flyer's I have not met yet! I get in thurs night and will be at the DZ ready to go Friday morning! Keep that good weather ordered and I hope the front goes through on Wed night so not to disturb jumping for the early people on Thursday. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

John, Be sure to bring your suit when you make it up my directin for afew flights! You threatened to be this direction so I will look forward to seeing yuou fly that blade! Scott C. Oh yeah.... Where is the "Campos"? "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

The flight planning issue absolutely should be covered in a FFC. It just adds to the fact that following the basic guidelines about jump experience should be followed and will help contribute to success. Though it was pointed out you can not count on jump numbers alone, jump numbers give a better chance for success though.. Actually knowing what you can do and where you can go in a WS is a learned process. You can have thousands of jumps but flying a ws is different in terms of knowing what it can do... Scott C. You can judge for yourself: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/#23350995 I thought they did a good job of not over blowing it and it came across as a positive thing. Jeb seemed to present himself well and will probably get some more financing out if it. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
