Looking forward to it. Funny that there was a lot of bickering after the 71 way last year on HERE but it was amazing the number of people in the skydiving world that don't wingsuit that were awed by that formation. Lots of things are in place for this event to be even better and there is still time for those on the fence to still sign up! More information can be seen here http://www.wingsuitbigway.com/ To try and do a bit of outreach there is also a charity portion to the event which is noted at the info page. Should be a really fun time and with what wingsuiting has learned from last year to now, has the potential to be a huge success!

I was wondering myself and I noted $394 No Tax and Free Shipping from: BuyDig http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?omid=103&ref=froogle&utm_source=Froogle&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=SNVHDRCX100&sku=SNVHDRCX100 and Beach Camera http://www.beachcamera.com/shop/product.aspx?omid=118&ref=nextag&utm_source=Nextag&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=SNVHDRCX100R&sku=SNVHDRCX100R I was lazy and used next tag http://www.nextag.com/SONY-HDR-CX100-R-642422488/prices-html Say Brand New with USA Warranty and the following in the box: HDR-CX100 - Handycam High-definition Camcorder (Red) InfoLithium battery pack AC adapter A/V connecting cable Component video cable USB cable Handycam Application Software CD-ROM Operating Guide Warranty information Thought that seemed low and went to Reseller Ratings.com and both had good reviews. Looked a little closer and still wonder some as they turn out to be the same company as the contact info for each is the same address in New Jersey.. I was about to order from BandH but I can get the camera and a SONY 8GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Mark 2 Media {MS-MT8G} for the same price. Anybody have any experience with them. Reseller ratings makes them look pretty good to buy from.. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

Bringing up an old thread as I don't see Camera Armor set for the T1i specifically. Looks like the version for Canon Rebel XSi/450D is the same. Anybody tried to get the T1i into the camera Armor and if so which one? I think the XSi version is correct but if you know or have it give a shout! Thanks, Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

decent stills-camera that holds up skydiving-abuse?

Or the T1i and a Canon 10-22 -
This last weekend in MOAB was my first real chance to play with my 10-22 on the T1i and I was pretty happy with the results.. I have not really dug into the pics fully but a somewhat quick look through gave some pretty happy impressions. I shot both RAW shots as well as Large .jpg shots. Matt, that is awesome! I am about to order one... Any guesses on color Spot? What does that say about me?? My the HC5 with a D-Box and Hypoxic Mini will be up online in the classifieds in the very near future! Love the HC5 but the speed and size, along with trying to compile some footage at a few boogies, will be way easier and nicer on my head in the future. That along with my new T1i will be a nice set up! Not quite as fancy a helmet though so I will still be way behind with lowly Batrak Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

Nice little vid Simon! "Go Go GoPro" Nice "Skye-Stick" "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

I have pictures of his eyes but will wait to post till he gives me the ok., MATT, can I throw a couple of pics up? That vid is really scary in terms of the speeds that were generated. Scotty had some pics of another jumper exiting the Van and getting into a nasty but short spin with a nice recovery. Even that one was pretty fast. People really should be thinking about recovery on any suit. Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

I have one though I don't run Guinness. I built my own using a kit through Beverage Factory on line. (I think that was the name at least). Got a Free Fridge and spent approx another $100 for the kit. Works great. They might have a Guinness kit as well, I am not sure. That Magic Fridge is siure nice to have though is the garage! Scott C "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

I have owned at least 3 different Flexons and I do really like that rig. I still have one that I jump now and then.. They are not that fashionable now with the Tuck-Tabs though I never had an issue with. That said, you are more paying for the Main and Reserve and 4 years on a Cypress. If the Sabre has under 10 Jumps and is still Crispy then that is the big value. For the Hard housing swap, VERY EASY and you could get the housings at the right length for that model from RI with a phone call . Last time I did it, I think it was under $50 delivered but that was awhile ago and I don't remember for sure.. My calculations come up as follows: Flexon complete container good shape ~ $400 Sabre $800-1000 Reserve $400 Cypress with 4 yrs left and you not having to pay for the service $400 Knock $50 or so off for the Hard housings and you get approx $1950 to $2150 My initial thought was pretty close to that giving about $2000 Again you have to look where the value is in the purchase and break each component out. If he is willing to sell at under $2K, you like the fit of the rig and the canopies are correct in sizing for you.... well..... it is not a bad deal as I see it.. Just my $0.02 Scott C. Don't forget to note First Flight will Be available as well! We will also be looking for people that are interested in the Record dives later this year in Elsinore.. Come show what you got to get on the Big way in Nov....

Now THAT is a discussion worth having. There is an old paved runway in Montezuma Creek, about 6 miles from the monument. We could create Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico records in one Otter load. .5 mile distance per leg, and we're good to go. Anyone wanna play? If the Point Break Boogie pulls off, that could be an added bonus. I think it would only count for each state if part of the formation lands in each state Sounds fun! I was thinking about going to this boogie as I have always had a fantastic time in Star over the years! I don't know what the level if interest in Wingsuit flying will be but I am putting a feeler out there for interest in first flights or more advanced coaching from Flock U ? www.flockuniversity.org I can get and bring bring a good set of Demo suits to play with along with my training suits.. Basically I am curious if any other wingsuiters will be there or are thinking about going? MT, UT, ID, OR, WA even Canada? If you have any interest in the Elsinore Record Jumps this will be the last chance to Qualify for the record jumps in November www.raisethesky.org in the Pacific NorthWest. I am one of the Plane Captains and organizers that is qualifying participants for this event. Registration/event info is at the noted link and its still not too late to get qualified and participate!!! Let me know what your thinking and I can get this added to my schedule! Hell, we can even pull the USPA approved "Grid" out ans set an Idaho State Record!! Scott Callantine -
Not big deal to me as I say would and have said "no thanks" to that request in the past.... I check the gear before I get on the plane and unless there is some reason for me to think I need that last look I don't want to have anybody check... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

Over the years I have owned and jumped a Vector, Jav, Infinity, Flexon, Wings among a few others and do have likes and dislikes about each one. I currently am jumping a Wings as my primary. I also recently sold my Infinity as it fit the guy I sold it to was a bit better on him then me. The 2 favorites I have are the Wings and Infinity. When I get my next rig I will be looking to either of those with an edge going to the Infinity for a couple of comfort reasons. Pricing is a little less on the wings it seems. All things being equal in terms of build time and price I would probably lean towards the Infinity slightly but if I got either I would be happy... Scott C.
