You could get a very nice Canon T1i set up through Costco for $900 http://www.costco.com/Browse/ProductSet.aspx?Prodid=11503832&search=Cameras1221&Sp=S&Mo=6&cm_re=1-_-Quad2-_-Cameras1221&lang=en-US&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&N=5000043&whse=BC&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=Text_Search&Dr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ne=4000000&D=Cameras1221&Ntt=Cameras1221&ec=1&No=6&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&topnav=&s=1 Same set up from B and H for the same price: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/657637-REG/Canon__EOS_Rebel_T1i_Digital.html How about a Canon 50D with a 28-135mm lens at B and H for $1129 with free shipping.. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/580464-REG/Canon_2807B005_EOS_50D_SLR_Digital.html I personally like Canon given I have lots of lens from them but if you look around there are options for you. http://rgl.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/rgFar.nsf/FARSBySectLookup/61.23 Looking at the chart, depending on your age it will be either still a 1st class or in effect a 1st class that is now a 2nd class based on time. Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

1st class is fine. As I understand it, a 1st in effect becomes a 2nd when the time the 1st is valid for passes. The 2nd then becomes a 3rd as time passes again. I usually have gotten a 2nd but it reverts to a 3rd when the time for the 2nd is up if I don't need the 2nd. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. Rocket man fails to fly from Morocco to Spain
sdctlc replied to sdctlc's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Not trying to understate the goal in this record, but AFAIK this has already been done even wihtout engines.. Therefore doing it with engines seems kind of pointless ? I think if it was, and I recall something about a wingsuit jump from High altitude, he was exiting at 6500" from his take off plane and then was to maintain that altitude the whole way across from what I understood. I have been following this thread and have not really said anything as I did not have much to add. But as a Plane Captain at this event I can say for sure that I did not get paid.. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

BSBD Steve Harrington - Flock University
sdctlc replied to mdrejhon's topic in Blue Skies - In Memory Of
Many Condolences to Steve's family and friends. He was a fantastic flier and was obviously excited to be flying at the 2009 record jumps. As his Plane Captain I was positive that I could count on him to fly his slot and he did not let me down. In the times I flew with Steve he proved himself to be a great flocker. He was also one of the nicer people on the ground and his loss will be one not only for the North East WS crew but also the entire WS community. Blue Skies Steve...... I have been traveling and just saw this post. Dewey was a fantastic person and I am very saddened to hear of his passing. He and his family will be in my thoughts... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

I knew it was extended to 5 years on teh Class 3 under 40. Does the same hold that as long as I got the physical before 40 I am good for the 60 months? Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!" -
I have 2 HC5 BoneHead boxes, each on a different helmet. One I can run the D plug and the other I cant. The one with the D plug I made a cut out the size of the fold down port cover and I can directly plug in. The other I just run a Mini indicator connector through a small hole in the lower base of the box. I will try and take a pic and post it later.. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

I enjoyed the movie... The book had only 10 sentences and the move was over 1.5 hours. I was not sure going in how they would deal with that and what liberties they would create but I thought they did a fantastic job and was really interested in the character development that they spun together for Max.. It was a little slow at times but overall very well done... I liked the movie and some of the areas that they filled in with the "Wild Things".. Not what I would call a true kids movie but overall I liked it.. Probably more so looking back on it then when I walked out of the theater after it was over.... Scott C. I don't get the Q. This is off of teh Hypoxic page of compatable units for the D-mini http://www.gethypoxic.com/support/useful-topics/50-hypeye-d-pro-a-hypeye-d-min-compatible-camcorders.html High Definition on Memory Stick (AVCHD) HDR-CX7 HDR-CX12 HDR-TG1* HDR-CX100 HYPEYE D MINI not recommended HDR-CX100B HYPEYE D MINI not recommended That was the reason for the question... Scott I think the "mini" is an indicator only, i.e. it has no control unit that can power the camera on and off. The CX100 has no external power button, you have to mess with the LCD screen opening. So the "pro" (rather than the mini) with the control unit seems the best logical choice. That's my guess. thanks and that makes sense. I don't have my CX100 in my hands yet so I did not know that... I don't think you can upload to your camera from a stick, Spot mentioned that in a conversation I had but I could be wrong on that recollection... It had something to do with a chance of uploading something to the camera that would mess up the Firmware and create issues, so that feature was not included in the production run cameras... I could be thinking of something else though... As a side question CX100 "?", Why does Trunk not recommend the Mini D for the CX100 as noted on the hypoxic page? Sorry for the thread drift but it is still a CX100 question... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
