  1. Hi all. What's up. Everyone ready for the weekend? I sure as hell am. I'm going flying and skydiving and planning on doing my first camera jump, should be great. Anyway, I'm posting this here because no one ever responds in the Photography forum. I am going to be using a camera helmet that weighs about 5-6 pounds with the camera on it. Does anyone have any advice to save my neck (Literally) on opening. What techniques do you use? I have a saber 170 and it usually opens fairly brisk. Any advide on how to slow that down, I do roll the nose a good amount. Anyway, any advice would be awesome. Everyone have a kickass weekend and BLUES. Krishan
  2. Sis. I'm a pilot. I fly Cessna 172's. It is the coolest thing I have done after skydiving. Sadly it is true, that commercial pilots that dont fly for big airlines dont make that much at all. But if it is something you love, that's all you need. It's awesome, you oughta check it out. Later. Krishan
  3. Dang it. I know I had one just last week, but I cant remember it. Argh. I really dont have them that often, :-) Sweet Dreams. :-/ Krishan
  4. I think I would only base jump off of one of those 3000ft cliffs. The packing definitely seems like a bitch.

    weather!

Hey Sis. Hope tomorrow is better for you. You gotta get out to NM soon. Dont you know we never have bad weather here in NM. :) I think the next time I jump will be my pre second camera jump. I'm so excited. Later
  6. How can one find just ONE. I can think of so many. My first stable 10 second freefall, my first 2-way sit, the first time I did this and that. Way too many to list. They are all soo cool. I just did three awesome jumps today. I was jumping a camera helmet without the camera for practice before I start jumping with one. I had one of the coolest 2-way freefly dives I have ever had and all three jumps were awesome as far as accuracy. One was a deadcenter, the other 1 ft from deadcenter and the third about 5ft from dead center. This is the coolest sport EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    bob Evans :)

I have a Lab/Rotweiler mix. Almost everytime she is lying on her back an I am scratching her stomach, she is gonna sneeze, Guaranteed. Also she snores louder than anyone else in my house and when she sleeps and I guess is dreaming her legs move like she is running. We say she is dreaming of chasing the jack rabbits in the hills near my house. It's really quite amusing.

    superstition

I say a prayer for protection in the plane before every jump. This prayer is normally said before someone drives somewhere, and the theory is that it will keep you behind an accident by the amount of time that it takes you to say it. So anyway that's what I do.

    LOW

I personally like to pull around 3,500 or 4000 when I am solo. I am jumping with other people, I generally pull just under 3000. As long as I am saddled close to 2000, I am happy. I think the lowest I have pulled is around 2000, which is illegal for me since I still just have an A license. Too low for me. Pull high, the scenery's usually great. Have some time to fly your canopy.
  10. Damn, Sis, what's up? Why you talkin jibberish. I know the weekend is drawing near, but try to contain your excitement. Have ya had any more luck with your sitflying? Later.
  11. Exactly what I meant. I have 127 jumps and I dont consider myself experienced.
  12. You are considered an "experienced jumper" as soon as you get your A license. Do not be driven away from the mirage because of that. I got my mirage with only about 30 jumps. It is not any harder to use than anything else and it is alot more relible than most. Krishan
  13. Haha. cool pics. Are you Marissa? Cause if so, your're really cute. It scares me to think of hanging in a harness naked. It must be painful, no? Blues Krishan
  14. I can back track pretty good. But the most fun thing to do is jump out of the plane facing the rear of the plane and just let the wind take your feet out from under you and lay you on your back, voila, you're back tracking, and you can watch the plane go away. And if ya want you can try to get into headdown from this position, just spread you legs really wide. That's pretty much the only way I exit now when i am jumping solo, I love to just lie back into the wind and watch the plane and totally just let your just totally relax and just let the wind do with you what it will. God I love this sport. Later Krishan
  15. Hey FreeflyPlaymate. Where are the pics of you on that site?
  16. Actually froggie, they give you a completely different number when you get a new license. That's why people can never remember their numbers. Good job Alex. I'm looking to get my C pretty soon. Krishan
  17. Hey all. I am pretty much a newbie, I have been jumping for just over a year and have 125 jumps. I am very interested in camera flying and wondered if anyone had any advice as far as when to start and what kind of equipment is good for beginners. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks much Blues Krishan
  18. Skydiver Pilot Warrior. :-) Krishan
  19. Well, whaddya know, the sista gotta taste of sit. Isnt it sweet. I must have done about 15-20 flailing dives before I started to get stable in sit. I do recommend getting some coached dive, they help soooo much. Anyway, congrats. Before you know it, you'll be doing 5-way horny gorilla exits and sit/stand the rest of the way down. Keep em safe. Krishan
  20. I think I have been missing out on the videos. Personally I like Freefly Millenium 2 best. But now i'll be sure to check out chronicles 3. Hey Sis, what's up? You holered!
  21. I vote for Wesley Snipes, He's a badass. What kind of plane did he get dumped from in dropzone?
  22. Personally I am a mirage fan. It is a very comfortable, secure and reliable rig. It is easy to pack. My rigger, actually looks forward to my repacks. I know Javelin's, and Vectors are excellent rigs as well. Blues Krishan
