  1. can you send me mine and I'll upload it to dz.com Thanks for the help bro.
  2. My older brother started static line in 95, but ran out of money after 4 jumps. Then we both started together in Jan, 2000 and made it through the course at the exact same pace and graduated together. Since then I have made 50 more jumps than he has, but we both have a blast doing it.
  3. Haha, that is great. Sure would raise the pucker-factor if you had to negotiate your landings through a bunch of lions.
  4. Do any of you know who makes that ringsite that "folds out of the way" so to speak, so that your field of vision is clear when you are under canopy or whenever.
  5. For those of you that are familiar with the ParaMount System 3 Camera helmets. I understand that they dont have holes in the mounting plate to bolt the camera on to it, but they use some sort of double sided locking tape and the strap that goes over the top of the camera. How secure is this setup? Anyone had any problems with it? Thanks in advance.

    four twenty

I just learnt the other day that 4/20 has been designated as National Pot Day or something like that.
  7. What about us 28.8K modem people with the pentium 100's w/ 16mb of RAM. Huh, what about us? I swear, I have the slowest computer EVER!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I'll give it a shot.
  8. Well the closest DZ to me is 90 miles away on the north edge of ABQ, NM and it's the only one in the state, so I would have to say that New Mexico Air Adventures is my home dz. We've got 2 182's and if were lucky we get up to 10K as our ground elevation is already a mile high. But I'll take what I can get. There is a great group of regulars there. good fun.

    White Puffies

Well I know we are supposed to stay 1 mile away from clouds above 10,000 msl, and 2 miles away below 5000 msl (I think). I was under the impression that you went inside them. Even then, that sound soooo cool. I am definitely going to try that sometime soon. Thanks for the reply. Oh and sorry for the he/she think. DOH!!!
  10. Damn people, get ya minds outta the gutters, jeez. :-P I actually dont mind packing. I dont pack other peoples gear, but I kinda enjoy packing my own. At this point my dz is way to small to make any significant amount of money paking, except during boogies when we bring in turbines.

    White Puffies

Have any of you read the "Puffy" aritcle on the home page. If not, you definitely should. Who ever wrote it painted one hell of a picture and made is sound like soooo much fun. I would definitely like to try that someday only, isnt that illegal according to the FAA. Also seems like there would/could be some serious turbulence in rising cumulus clouds like the one's she described. Still sounds amazing though, especially with a few people flying in a line. Anyway, what do y'all think? Blues
  12. Personally I like the Mirage G3 best. I like the fact that the tuck flap that covers the pin/bridle is bigger than most of the other comparable rigs, providing more protection against snagging. I have seen Vector 3's that had bridle sticking out from underneath the tuck flap due to the fact that it is rather small. I'm sure they are all excellent rigs though.

    Night Jumps

I did my premier night jump on the 7th. It was totally awesome. I jumped over Abluquerque, NM and man, with all the lights you can see the ground coming up at you really fast. Kinda trippy actually, I had to keep checking against my alti, just to make sure. It was totally fun. Good times
  14. Me too. I'd love to see how he done it.
  15. In Freefall?? Not at all. And when the helmet was not on, I was just careful that it didnt fall out. Just had to keep an eye on it while moving around, no biggie though.
  16. I have a pro-dytter that I used with my protec. For a while it worked fine mounted to the outside. Then I decided I wanted it a little more protected so I just put it by itself (not in the mounting clip) in side the ear with the back (speaker) facing my ear and I have had no problems hearing it at all. It makes a huge difference if you have it facing the wrong way.
  17. Hey Mountainman. I'm just starting out with camera flying. I found a good deal on one of those Paramount System 3 camera helmets. I have not received it yet, but I'll let you know how it is when I try it. Also I have an old Hi-8 Camera that I am using. I think it's wise to start with equipment that is not too expensive, that way if you dont like camera flying, you dont lose out on too much. Just my thoughts. Krishan
  18. Yeah, what they said. Have a great Birthday and a great year. When are we going to see you out in NM Sis?
  19. Ditto. I'm sorry to hear about this, but c'mon people. These are so avoidable and not worth the thrill.
  20. Damn!!!!! Sounds like a pretty scary rig to be able to accidentally open so easily. What kind is it?
  21. Monk, that sounds like great fun. Just be careful, being a fellow pilot, I know the risks involved. Fly Safe.
  22. I have actually met someone close to Greg Gasson and learnt that he is actually wired in to a hidden harness when he does these types of jumps. He does not do it all that often and charges a butt load of money for the video when he does.
  23. What's up Monk. You have been scarce lately. What's up with that? Hey what kind of planes do you fly? I'm a pilot too, and I think it would be sooo cool to fly straight from PHX to ELOY. I'll for sure get in touch with you next time I head down there. I'm from NM by the way. Anyway, Later. Krishan

    april fools

Our DZO sent an email out thanking everyone for jumping the Blackhawk tailgate helicopter. Needless to say, he got tons of emails back, from people that were jumping over the weekend, asking him what the hell he was talking about. Finally he confessed it was a joke, the bastard :-)
  25. I think that is where Freaksis jumps. I hope she was'nt on the plane when it happened. Freaksis are you around? Were you there when it happened. Hope everything's cool. Krishan
