Stella Del Mare is really good, on Lexington just south of Grand Central...39th, maybe. There is a small family run french restaurant on the other side of Times Square, can't remember the name, but sooooo good. It's across from the Paramount Hotel. Sushi Zen on 44th, I think somewhere around 6th maybe. Sooooo good. Really expensive, maybe $150 a person, but breathtaking sushi...best I have ever had. Another sushi place just south of the corner of Bleeker and Thompson. Think the name is Tomoi or somesuch. Bond 45 is a good steakhouse, but the greatest part of them is the cheese that they make. There is a cheese platter of all different kinds that is amazing. Oh, Bobby Flay's place, the Mesa Grill. on 5th, I think, can't remember where. That's pretty good too. Anyway, those are the places that I like. Even if I have trouble finding them sometims. -S _____________ I'm not conceited...I'm just realistic about my awesomeness...

You didn't do anything wrong. You needed to get a reserve over your head and that is what you did...I think that if there is anything to learn from this, it is you did well and people should follow your example. I'm a guy, and I've had to cutaway with 2 hands...it's not a girl thing, it's a "you do what you have to do thing." If you had used one hand, there would be someone else on here telling you why you should have used 2. I'm sorry this thread turned into such a negative thing. Something that hasn't been mentioned that was done for mine this time, an acheles tendon from a cadavor. They said that they are beefier than the patellar tendons that another doctor was going to use (also from a cadavor). I was walking after about a week last time, and it's been a week and a half this time and I am walking for the most part. I'm taking the crutches when I go out, for the leg getting tired and mainly for protection. I was back to jumping in 4 months or so, back to feeling completely normal in about a year and a half. This time I'm thinking Bridge Day will be my first jump back, in 3 months...probably land in the water just to be safe. -S _____________ I'm not conceited...I'm just realistic about my awesomeness...

I had my ACL done 9 days ago. I was having calf pain before the surgery, but it hasn't really happened since. The doctor said that he thought it was probably caused by fluid from the knee leaking down onto the calf muscle and causing it to spasm, which is normal. Not much to do about it. Is the pain at the top of the calf? I'm walking around on mine now, but getting tired later in the day. Not too much real pain to speak of, mostly discomfort. It's still another 5 days til they are going to start getting me off the crutches, so I have to take them with me to therapy and pretend I'm still using them. Anyway, not that I was much help, but it's late and I'm bored.

Thank you for the thoughts. The surgery went well, and I'm just sitting on the couch watching tv and licking my wounds. :-) It feels surprisingly good right now, so I may have some vicodin left over when this is done... start the bidding... _____________ I'm not conceited...I'm just realistic about my awesomeness...

Yeah, I really liked Unbreakable. Sixth Sense was great, and I saw enough of the Village to think it was ok, but not good enough to go back for a detailed look. This had entertaining parts, so I don't think it was Baldwin bad. The thing I don't enjoy is when the surprises at the end are hinted at so much that it's almost like they are shoving them up your ass. I actually feel assaulted in a way. "Swing away!" Hmmm...alien breaks into the house, and I am going to use a baseball bat to defend myself...that's quite a stretch. I did like Paul Giamatti, and some of the other characters were good. Ego Boy even did ok. Again, I just felt assaulted by the storyline. Anyway, I guess it's like a train wreck...I keep going to see, can't stop myself, but ultimately, there will never be another Sixth Sense, and all that is left is carnage... _____________ I'm not conceited...I'm just realistic about my awesomeness...
